Golden Tower Hotel & Spa

Piazza Strozzi 11r, Florence - Map
"Comfortable, Elegant, and Friendly"
My sister and I just had a fabulous stay at The Golden Tower Hotel. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! The hotel, itself, is lovely, quiet and calm. It is situated near all major sites- we just walked everywhere. The is a spa that looked wonderful, but we didn't use it. Breakfast was included and delicious- a nice buffet. We could not have been happier and hope to return again!

Small hotel with personal service. Make you feel part of the family. So central driving the car there is possible but a bit complex.

Hotel Cestelli

Borgo Santi Apostoli 25, Florence - Map
"Centrally located and nice family-run hotel!"
Hotel Cestelli is a very nice family-run hotel! Alessio and Asumi were very welcoming and helpful during our whole stay. We arrived a bit late the first night but they were very accommodating! We booked a room with a shared bathroom and there were no major issues. Everything was clean and we barely ever had to wait to use the bathroom. The room (#2) was simple but good for our needs. We'd probably recommend having another chair in the room and another glass, but there was really no problem. We did have a sink in the room and they gave us a little electric kettle to boil some water. There is only one outlet in the room so plan acordingly, we only had to charge cellphones and just put the chair next to the outlet to lay the phones down. The location is probably the best part of this hotel! Only a 5 minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio, it is very centrally located and we even came home in the middle of the day to drop off some bags before heading out again. Alessio and Asumi are the perfect hosts--they had lots of fantastic recommendations of touristy sites to visit as well as some hidden local secrets. Overall we definitely recommend staying at Hotel Cestelli!

"My number 1 in Florence!"
Florence can boast a number of great hotels, and so far, I have had the pleasure to stay in a few. they all offer great staff, location, that Italian design we all love. but there is something about Tornabuoni Suites that made it my number 1 hotel in Florence. Maybe it's the sincere kindness of Alessandra and Tommaso, which makes you feel at home instantly, maybe it's the impeccable rooms with their spaciousness, light and quiet, maybe it's the excellent location in the historic center of Florence, in Florence's most fashionable street, maybe it's the professionalism and kindness of the cleaning staff, ... or maybe it's a combination of all these elements. I love this hotel for the care they take in anything they offer. they care about their hotel, and they will care about you. and it doesn't go unnoticed. Can highly recommend!

Room Mate Isabella

Via Dei Tornabuoni 13, Florence - Map
"Lovely Stay"
Room Mate Isabella is located in the center of Florence, a short walk to the river. The hotel is maintained in a traditional way with a modern flair. I love the colors in the rooms and dining areas. The rooms are very clean and great wi-fi. The rooms are large in comparison to many rooms in Florence. The hotel staff is very friendly and I was able to check in early.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
