" Very pleasing stay"
Lovely hotel, staff very helpful and friendly. Only down side unfortunately, our room was next to the chamber maids storage room so we were woken up early most mornings as they re stocked the trolleys ready to clean the rooms. Some reminder notices to other guest about noise levels in the corridors whilst outside other peoples rooms would be useful. Excellent location for most of the attractions especially the Trevi Fountain. Reasturant excellent, breakfast very good would certainly stay again but in a room away from the lifts and storage room!

"Nice central position"
The hotel was in a fantastic location which was within walking distance of all sightseeing attractions. The hotel was beautiful and staff were so friendly and helpful. There are so many restaurants and bars within a 5 min walk from the hotel which is great if you don't want to venture out too far in the evenings.

"Excellent Experience"
Amazing central location near a beautiful Bernini fountain. Comfortable, plush rooms with large bathrooms with great showers. The staff are very pleasant and helpful with everything from reservations to calling cabs to general questions. Breakfast is presented in a lovely dining room; carefully prepared large selection of breakfast dishes (pastries, fruit, cold meats/cheeses) including delicious made to order omelettes and coffee beverages. The servers in the breakfast room were gracious and v. efficient.

"Nice place to stay"
We stayed here for three nights with four adults in their Junior Suite, which consisted of a king-size bed and two cots for the other two people. The bed was very firm, but quite comfortable. The cots would be okay for kids, but not the best for adults. Our 2 adult sons didn't sleep well since the cot mattresses were thin and the cots themselves weren't that steady. The walls and rugs are older and showing some wear and tear, but the room was very clean and the daily maid service was excellent. The bathroom was enormous and spotlessly clean with a big, deep soaking tub and a huge shower head, with toiletries and slippers offered. Also, there's a gigantic closet in the Junior Suite. The location was decent. Only about a 5 minute walk to a metro stop and about a 7-10 minute walk to the train station. Plenty of restaurants in the area, and decent shopping within easy walking distance. You can travel anywhere else in the city on the metro (do be warned, though, that pickpockets are a plague in Rome, and crowded subway cars are one of their fave places to operate...one member of our party had his wallet stolen, and that was with it buttoned and secured inside his front pants pocket, so take extra precautions when you're out anywhere in a crowd. Be safe, wear a neck wallet or a money belt hidden under your clothes.). Breakfast is included in the stay and it's quite excellent...lots of fresh choices. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. I still miss that big bathroom!

"Roman Holiday"
Nice time at Hoel Rex. Rooms are small but comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was satisfactory, no hot dishes. Access to hotel would be difficult for handicapped or elder with many stairs at entry and level change in corridor. Overall nice hotel.

"Great location, good for a city break "
Good central location if you want to see the sights of Rome. Near the main station and hop on hop off bus stops. My room was small but I only paid for a single so wasn't expecting massive space. Bed and pillows were hard though. Air con isn't adjustable but I didn't have a issue as it stayed between 20-23C.

Via Cola di Rienzo is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Via Cola di Rienzo, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Via Cola di Rienzo hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
