Ice machines out of order. They advertise microwave and refrigerator on request. Sent them an email before my arrival asking for them and never responded. When asked if the rooms came with them they said no. Parking is kind of small so if you come in late you may not find a spot. Neighborhood did not look that safe to me. Rooms were nice. Good pillows and bed. Overall I would stay again if needed.

This is a good dependable apparently clean motel. Bring your own coathangers, the ones here are absurdly stupid and useless, and hang on two PEGS on the wall over a shelf unit you want to use, not clear for dragging clothing. .
Choose a room near the office or you will have no wi fi, and even if you do get near the office, if it's raining, forget it: no wifi. It's always an issue. Still, there is no better for the price and I'll surely go again.

The first night we had a room on the US 101 side of the hotel. The room was noisy from highway noise and Amtrak trains all night. Single pane windows and noise through the HVAC unit made it hard to sleep. The last three nights we moved to a room on the side away from the highway and train tracks and it was much more pleasant. The breakfast is excellent. The location and access to the beach, Port Hueneme, Channel Islands National Park, and other attractions is excellent.

We have stayed here a number of times and love its charm. If you are looking for a fancy, fluffy hotel, this may not be the place for you. We love it because it has perfect access to the beach and it is comforting in an old fashioned sort of way.
