Avignon Grand Hotel

Avignon Grand Hotel is easy to reach as it is located just next to the train station and it is within walking distance to Avignon town center. The room is spacious with separate sitting area and the bed is big and comfortable. The breakfast has a lot of variety and different kind of fresh fruit is provided every day. There is a public carpark in the basement of this hotel, after you parked the car there is a direct assess from the carpark to hotel, which is really convenient.

"Charming hotel in fantastic central location"
My husband and I enjoyed a delightful long weekend at La Mirande recently. I would recommend this hotel especially in off-season as I imagine the service is more attentive (as it was during our stay) than it would be in the summer. Our room was spacious and charmingly old-world. The many common spaces are delightful, especially the indoor atrium which services afternoon tea and the walled gardens. We also enjoyed dinner at La Mirande which served an especially good cheese course. The entree was nothing special but overall I would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

"Charming large hotel in old cloister"
Room interiors are modern but building is a lovely old cloister and it's a quiet setting with an elegant restaurant although we did not eat there. The pool is great. Small but in a lovely rooftop setting with flowers, nice ambiance. Location right near train station .

"A beautiful hotel in a beautiful village. "
Don't make the same mistake I did - this hotel is not in Avignon. It's across the river in the beautiful village of Villeneuve les Avignons. This is actually a plus if you are there during high season. Villeneuve is quiet, charming, and a welcome respite from the crowds and noise of Avignon during the Festival. Le Prieure is equally charming, peaceful, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend it highly.

"Great little boutique hotel. "
Really nice place. Hostess was nice and provided a map of the city with some instructions on where things were. You can quickly walk to everything from here. Nothing in the Avignon city walls is more than a 5 or 10 min walk from here. The room was beautiful, clean. Nice little sitting garden. Really good place.

"Just outside the city walls"
Basic accommodation, but modern, clean on arrival and perfectly adequate for our stay. There is a long lunch break between 12 and 2pm so you may have to wait to check in if you arrive at this time, Reception is air conditioned though so ok. Luggage can be looked after if you are checking in early or out late. There is now a shuttle service to and from TGV station for 7 Euros per head [ and water sport park I believe]. It was good to have the supermarket so close and to be able to cook in our room. Although we were near the train tracks we didn't find the trains too noisy. The roof terrace was pleasant but fairly small and could have benefited from some sort of shade. Bus trips cost 1Euro 40cents but if you use it within the hour you can hop on and off with no extra charge. you just need to validate it. There is also a citizen bus which runs about every 4 minutes into the centre of town and costs 50cents. It is their version of Park and Ride. During the Festival they are only running in the morning, but are free! You can use your 1 hour ticket on these buses too. If you want to go further afield the Coach station is underneath the Ibis hotel next to the Central Railway station, [to the left facing the station] and is quite hard to find. Coach fares are quite reasonable too.

Vaucluse is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Vaucluse, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Vaucluse hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
