"High standard hotel"
We stayed here for five nights, this is a lovely hotel. Large beautiful bright reception area, we were checked in quickly however we did notice queues at times. Initially we were in room 1212 (executive king room), beautiful room however we heard the buzz of the hotel main air conditioning (not our room air conditioning) all night - consequently did not sleep. We were moved without any problem the next morning to room 1308, identical room without the noise. In fact the room was well sound proofed as there is piped music in the corridor and you could not hear a thing. The room was large with a sofa and beautiful bathroom. We had access to the executive lounge for breakfast, refreshments and snacks. Staff were helpful. Beautiful pool and spa facilities. Location - not the best part of an overall good area however no trouble or sensation of it at all. Tram stop is a minutes walk away and the hop on hop off bus is just around the corner. I marked the hotel and room down based on the fact of the noisy room for the first night, the hotel must be aware of this and our time off is too precious to lose a nights sleep due to noise.

"Unique Hotel"
Hotel is in a great location to see the sights in Budapest. Breakfast bar is fine but could be a little better. The live music in the atrium is great and the roof top bar is nice. Fun place to stay. The ipad will ALL the hotel information on it was not working. The Hotel is kind of techie, which is only great when everything works. It is also only two years old and is nice. The spa was great as well. Nice facility. Rooms are beautiful but could be a little bigger. Overall I would recommend this place. The problems we had were minor.

"Budapest Visit"
The hotel is really smart and near to hop on hop off buses, and lots of bars and restaurants. The food in the restaurant was amazing and afternoon tea and cakes looked good although we did not go in. The rooms were very spacious with comfy beds , the shower was very powerful the only downside to the room was no tea/coffee making facilities but it did have a nice fridge with drinks and nuts in . Fives minutes walk and you are at the river will definitely stay at the hotel on our next visit.

"Great Location next to the Opera House"
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was very, very good with lots of choices. The room was clean and the bathroom had been updated. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the decor in the room was old and stale and needs to be updated to the standards of the bath.

"Old hotel with great spa"
I have stayed at the Gellert a few times in the past. It's a wonderful old hotel with lots of history and beauty. Unfortunately, the rooms are low-grade for such a beautiful hotel. I booked a cheap room on Expedia and still got a river view (thank you). The air conditioner, however, was a portable one that made an awful racket and took forever to cool the room. The beds are hard. The safe did not work and was attached to the bottom of the closet. When I complained, the staff asked me to wait in the room for someone to come. I was heading out and not impressed. When the staff member came, he insisted that I prove to him that the safe didn't work. In the end, they never did fix it. They do have a main safe, but the experience was still irritating.

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Ujbuda, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Ujbuda hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
