"Not Bad, Just Fine..."
There is nothing particularly wrong with this hotel, it just is not as fancy or quaint as they claim it to be. It is comfortable and clean. So go ahead and stay there. One problem: The kitchen closes at 10:30 and there is no room service. Coming into DC with a late train, I could not get anything to eat but some ordering leaflets of nearby Pizzerias. Definitely, not a historical experience with character. The bar (and the bar tender) was nice so I could have some snacks. The breakfast was, again, just OK, not much variety, just decent regular food.

"Very convenient to the Georgetown and White house "
The metro is close by to either Farragut West or Foggy Bottom stop (with a little walk). Very nice staff, rooms are well maintained. It is an older property with character and charm. If you are looking for stainless steel/glass/modern, this isn't your place. I like the design elements personally. Every room I have been in - have stayed five or six times now, has been comfortable. each evening, the shades are drawn, water is dropped off and a light is turned on for your return. I normally have business on my check out day and always get my bag checked/stored for the day with a smile.

"Cool hotel"
Enjoyed my time at the Watergate. Great location, sweet decor. Only complaints were that there was no fitted sheet on the bed, and car access was narrow, which was weird. Pool and gym were awesome. Whiskey bar and rooftop bar were great places to relax.

"Easy to find from I95"
Hotel was in a great location for dining and shopping. Front desk (one black man - I am black too) was not friendly nor showed in care for guests. Had to wait for taxi that was called for us by staff that never came. The rest of the staff was responsive and helpful.

"Good hotel though not spectacular."
Pleasant, clean, comfortable, but too many little things were wrong. The request for breakfast in my room was left over from a previous tenant, and after receiving a new one, I was never given a new one for the next night. When my breakfast was brought it lacked a cup for the coffee. The intercom took some study to operate. As I said, little things: little annoyances that mark an inadequate, though not unpleasant, hotel.

The hotel is nice and clean. The staff was nice, the room was large and clean. I wish there was coffee in the rooms. However, the was coffee in the lobby in the morning as complementary. Only valet is available for about $47

    Explore Tysons Corner

The ultimate “edge city,” Tysons Corner bustles during the day but empties out at night – five times as many people work in this affluent business region as live here. Ambitions urban planners aim to change that, with massive housing developments in the works along the brand-new Silver Line.

This extension of the Washington Metro will integrate Tysons more closely with the capital, as well as create a denser, vibrant city in its own right (and lessen car traffic). For now, hotel guests here are probably on a business trip – many prominent finance, telecom and technology companies are based in Tysons Corner. The town is also a major shopping destination for the D.C. metro area, with three large and popular malls.

After work, hop the Metro to downtown Washington, DC to pay a visit to the White House, hobnob with politicos on Capitol Hill and explore the museums and monuments of the National Mall. Dine in style, then pop back to Tysons for a good night’s sleep.
