Cumulus Turku Hotel

Eerikinkatu 30, Turku - Map
"Close to town centre"
The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the main town square. I chose it due to the proximity of the centre. The room was a single bed room, and was ok. It lacked any AC so for very hot in the middle of the night. It was clean, and the desk was a good size. The bathroom was very small but everything worked. Would have been nice to have a kettle and cup provided. The wifi was very good, I was able to stream a tv programme with no problems. Breakfast was ok, mostly cold. The bread was very nice! There is a swimming pool which I intending to use, but sadly I didn't have enough time!

"Wonderful stay "
We only stayed one night and we wished we stayed a few more. We took the trail into the beachside city and it was a wonderful walk. The city shops weren't all open but we were not there for the summer holiday, I heard it gets a little livelier then. The hotel was comfy and had everything we needed. The kids and I both enjoyed the pool/sauna area .

"Ideal city centre break"
For what my friends and I needed, it was perfect. We were in Turku, Finland for the wedding of the son of my long standing friend. The four day weekend gave us the opportunity to meet the bride's family, who was raised in Turku, and to visit some of the tourist sites. Turku is the old capital of Finland before it moved to Helsinki. The city has a population of about 200,000 and is located on the river Aura along which most of the tourist sites, restaurants and facilities are based. We had the opportunity to visit some of the sites on the Friday before the wedding on the Saturday which lasted most of the afternoon and thru the evening. The Taxi ride back to the hotel provided a view of the night life which at midnight was lively but orderly. Sunday was a day of rest meeting the new family at their home and enjoying good food and very hospitable company. Due to travel commitments, Monday only allowed a brief but enjoyable visit out to Naantali, a quaint, 'sea side' town north of Turku before returning to the UK. Access to Turku is readily available by Air, Rail or Road. Once there, buses or taxis are the norm. The current city is relatively modern, having burned down some 30 times in its 800 hundred year history, In consequence the roads are wide, well organised and often dual carriageway, however pedestrians and cyclists are very well catered for. Being early August the weather was warm (20+ daytime/ 14 deg, night) and sunny with only the occasional rain shower.

"A Fine 2-3 Star Hotel in a Great Location"
The hotel is located in downtown Turku, a great location for many interesting things in Turku. The room was fine - clean, roomy and pleasant. The breakfast was OK - not amazing, but not bad. It did have a lot of options. Again, a very fine 2 star hotel but not a solid 3 star hotel.

"Central location spacious room"
Easy check in, email confirmation with door code and room number. Hotel in good location easy walking distance to bars, restaurants, shops, supermarket. Room had no window so no natural light, although the microwave and fridge were clean on the inside the doors were filthy and needed a good clean so did the bathroom door. Room stuffy and aircon vents also needed a good clean. We enjoyed our stay and the price was in our budget. Can't rate the hotel staff as there weren't any but have rated the cleaners!

Ruissalo Spa Hotel

Ruissalon Puistotie 640, Turku - Map
"Very Comfortable"
Solo traveler so I had the entire bedroom to myself - 2 twin beds which I pushed together to form a large full-sized bed. I normally stayed in hostels prior to arriving in Turku so Ruissalo was definitely one of the most comfortable places I stayed at throughout my entire trip. The location itself is a bit out of the way. It's not in center city at all. However, there is a bus that goes directly to Ruissalo Spa Hotel and back to the central city every half-hour, for the price of 3 euros. Ruissalo has a beautiful pool and spa area - its very quiet and peaceful at 8pm, with very few people during that time. I also rented a bike from the front desk. The lady provided me a map and helmet, and I spent the entire day riding along the Ruissalo trail into center city to Turku Castle. It's a beautiful, scenic ride. Not very tough, the path is fairly level - all along the meadows, fields, and coast. Did I mention it was scenic? Overall great stay - the staff is especially wonderful. Probably one of the best staff I've ever encountered! Really loved my stay here and enjoyed Turku immensely.

Turku is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Turku, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Turku hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
