Stayed in hotel for a few days. Great location near rail and bus stations, and easy walk into town. Rooms very modern, a little spartan, and very clean. Breakfast also a bit strange...a sandwich and orange drink in a bag on your door knob every morning. Staff very helpfull and friendly.

Smartly designed layout of hotel & thoughtfulness of making the rooms efficient & eco friendly without being TOO eco friendly. Location was in a quiet area, but within a few minutes walk, you have many restaurant options & is an easy 10/15 minute walk to the center of town & shopping.

Hotel was certainly acceptable in the heart of Trondheim but the city has a young vibrant crowd that prefers to party by starting in the hotel hallways. Staff did an excellent job of controlling the noise. Basic accommodations without a bar fridge....breakfast was just a sandwich so forget about it. Don't miss the best breakfast in all of Norway at the Scandic Hotel. It is probably the best buffet we've ever had, and we travel a lot.

Very modern hotel, jaw dropping architecture, staff very helpful, polite and smartly dressed. The only disappointment was the sky bar which had a limited menu for non meat eaters, and v expensive. Good amenities, water park next door, which hotel had discount and we enjoyed the city bikes which had a bike park outside the hotel. Would be useful to be able to buy tickets from hotel rather than have to walk to the tourist information in town first.

Trondheim's tree-lined streets offer Tronheimsfjord seafood and Nidelva River views. Visitors should hit the 12th-century Nidaros Cathedral, Stiftsgården palace, the fortress islet of Munkholmen, and landmark Tyholt Tower for views. A drastic change in scenery can be had by grabbing the tram to the forest park of Bymarka. Nordic summers are highlighted by the medieval St Olav Festival.
