"Great location (4* as nothing is perfect!)"
This hotel is lovely. It's huge too! Rooms are cleaned every day (quite early in the morning actually so we just put do not disturb sign on the door so we could have a lie in) - They will come at another point in the day when you're out. There's plenty of space for sun bathing by the pools and there's an even better spot down by the sea which we favoured (if you fancy sun bathing away from children I'd find this spot). We stayed here on a room only basis so didn't really eat here apart from a massive burger and chips at Henry Bean's! A slight downside for me was the price of bottled water by the pools - €4.50 for a 'big' bottle. So get yourself a few bottles from the local shops to take. You can get 2ltr bottles for as little as 50 cents. However, having said this the hotel does provide you with 2 complimentary 500ml in your room each day so that kind of makes up for it :-) The heated indoor pool is lovely. Drinks in general are a little on the highside but I recommend a Kalypso on the Broadside Terrace - one of the nicest cocktails I've had! The location of this hotel is great, you're not far from the buzzing night life of St Julians and I recommend a 10 minute walk into Spinola Bay where there's plenty of restaurants to choose from. Also if families are wanting to avoid the party strip this is easily done, don't let the night life put you off! On our last day we hired a peddalow with a slide - great fun as long as you have the upper body strength to get back on! :-D

"Good hotel close to centre of Valletta."
Staff exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Comfortable and elegant lounge area. A shame one has to go through the formal dining room to reach the outdoor terrace, an alternative access would be nice. Good sound insulation in the room from outside (current EU building works and bus station currently making it very noisy outside, but that is not the hotel's fault.) however could hear the occupants of the next room clearly through adjoining door between rooms. One suggestion for improvement: The only breakfast available in the dining room was large and excessively expensive. We went out to a nearby cafe bar for breakfast each day. A modest breakfast bar with Continental type choice would have been excellent and we would have taken advantage of that.

We just stayed at the Alexandra hotel st julians malta for the first time and I must say that it was a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly. I email the hotel before our stay asking if there was a kettle in the room, they had one put in there for us. The room was big and had a balcony which was nice. The beds were comfy and there was a fridge in the room which came in handy. Good position and value for money.

"Good Hotel in the right place"
Modern hotel located just away from the water front at Sliema. Very good quality hotel with welcoming feel and this was reflected throughout the whole building. The staff in all parts of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It was our first visit to Malta and we were delighted that we chose a quality hotel, which was not on the waterfront. It was quiet but only a five minute stroll down to the front where a good number of bus routes were available, together with the excellent ferry across to Valletta - a "must" visit. Travel on the bus is somewhat frenetic, given that they always seem to be crowded and the ride can be somewhat uncomfortable - poor roads and exciting driving! We always took the ferry which is cheaper, quicker and less crowded - a 10 minute walk (uphill) takes you to the main bus station where you can get a bus to anywhere in the island. Make use of the various fare concessions, especially for the over 60s! It is best to sort out bus etc. concessions before you go. A problem with our hotel room was immediately resolved with a move to another room, and a complimentary bottle of wine and biscuits! The Duty Manager handled the situation without any fuss and checked personally that we were content. Superb service! We had an early return flight so he hotel provided a very good packed breakfast - make sure you mention it. A week is just about right - a great place for a break. We will return to the Palace again. .

"Great location and reception staff"
Stayed in the Intercontinental Malta with my husband + 3 yr old Positives: 1.) Location - very central, across the road to Baystreet shopping complex, surrounded by plenty of restaurants/cafes. Being next to the strip of nightclubs did mean we often had to walk past lots of loud music, but this didn't bother us and we never felt at risk even with a young child. Couldn't hear any loud music once in the hotel, and when in our room (pool facing) Could see the Intercontinental's section of the private beach from the main entrance of the hotel. 2 minute walk. 2.) Beach - good sized private section of the sandy beach. Beach towels/sun beds included. Beach bar/restaurant staff readily available to take orders/serve drinks at a click of the button by your sun lounger. Sand was very coarse and a bit sore to walk on - more like tiny pebbles but my toddler still enjoyed building sand castles with it. 3.) Reception staff/concierge - courteous and helpful. Concierge were polite, always there to open the door and happy to be asked questions. Check in counter staff also good help. 4.) Buffet restaurant managers efficient and showed us to our table every morning. Buffet waiters generally ok with 2 or 3 exceptional ones who would go out of their way to help you. Negatives: 1.) Housekeeping - disappointing. Started with x3 of each towel size as you would expect for a room booked for 3. Ended up with such few towels we had to share, strangely started on day 2 after we tipped them

"Very good hotel situated in the middle of Malta"
This was our third visit and always had a good experience at this hotel. Staff are excellent, facilities good and the hotel was very clean. Only complaint would be the lack of choice for dining although a good restaurant a few minutes walk. There are also bus stops near the hotel with frequent services into Valletta.

Tower Road is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Tower Road, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Tower Road hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
