"Grand hotel in financial district of Toronto"
We arrived earlier than anticipated before normal check in but were treated well and got a room immediately. Our reception hostess was professional and concerned about making up comfortable quickly, which was a real relief since we had had two flights and alot of walking and no food from start to arrival at the hotel. The room was small but more than adequate in size, cool on a hot day, pleasantly decorated, clean and a welcome place to decompress. We had a bit of trouble finding a place to get an early lunch because we did not know how to access the underground stores and eateries at that point, but, in all fairness, we did not ask but went exploring. After four days, we had it figured out and no complaints about the service, housekeeping, anything. Best for adult travelers, and very large . . . but pleasant and elegant.

"Beautiful rooms, prime location"
The hotel (Maple leaf square) is in a prime location, close to the ACC, union station, walking distance to financial district and easy walk down to the quay. Cannot say enough about how friendly and hospitable the hotel staff was. The rooms are beautiful, and I had an amazing view of the CN tower. Only drawbacks are that it gets loud at night due to traffic/honking, and there's no pool at the hotel. Stayed here for 13 nights - will definitely be staying here again!

"Very pleasant stay!"
The hotel is in an excellent location - lively, safe, and walking distance to most places we wanted to go. The room was tasteful, spacious, and comfortable. Housekeeping was accommodating and thorough. The staff was courteous enough. I was a little disappointed at how small and unimpressive the lobby is though.

The Gladstone Hotel is a combination hotel, art gallery, & restaurant. The hotel was built in 1888 & is the oldest continuous use hotel in Toronto. When the hotel was remodeled, each room was designed by an artist. The elevator in the hotel was built in 1907 and is still operated by a person.

    Explore Toronto

Canada’s largest city has a reputation for being nice – good-natured and unpretentious, with a sly sense of humor. There’s some truth to that stereotype, but it’s only half the picture. Toronto is incredibly diverse, a polyglot city where recent immigrants make up nearly half the population.

It bustles with international business, lively neighborhoods and a vibrant arts scene. Dining in Toronto is a revelation. Foodie enclaves like Ossington and Leslieville are red hot, but don’t miss the authentic ethnic eateries of Chinatown, Little India and Greektown.

Check out the expansive view from the CN Tower – or, if you’re truly daring, try Edge Walk, a thrilling, hands-free journey around the outside! Explore the Distillery Historic District, arty Queen Street West or upscale shopping area Bloor-Yorkville. Stroll the boardwalk in the quaint Beaches or hop a ferry to the peaceful, car-free Toronto Islands. Everything is awesome for kids at the Legoland Discovery Centre, while hockey fans can touch the actual Stanley Cup at the Hockey Hall of Fame. Beauty, eh?
