This was a nice hotel and the beds were comfortable. Great Mattress, but the pillows were small, hard and lumpy. Breakfast was great. Lots of choices and good food. The pool and hot tub were closed due to someone causing damage that needed to be repaired, so we were unable to use them. This is the main reason we chose this hotel rather than a cheaper one without a pool, but the staff was friendly and gave a small amount off my bill because of this. Overall pretty good.

This is a new property and I wish I would have known about it when I originally planned my trip. The only thing which kept me from awarding a full five stars is the fact that no matter how well built a location is, there is always some noise from others in the building. My room was next to one of the exterior doors which when used would slam shut; however, it wasn't bad enough to complain about it or ask for another room.
Besides that fact, the property is perfect for what I needed. The bed was comfortable and there is plenty of room. My room had one bed and a recliner, which I started dozing in while reading. The staff was pleasant and the check-in and check-out process was very quick. The location of the property was perfect for my trip and I wish that I would have known about it when I originally planned my trip (I found this location when I had to make an unexpected extension to my trip and needed to change hotels).

I had a nicer room this time. There were some different upgrades in this room...more plugs on a lamp for our laptops was great and my window opened slightly for fresh air. On my previous visit, I had a partially broken window, so no fresh air. The water was not so soft this time, and I liked that. No slimy feel after showering.

The Grand America is one of those special hotels. It is expensive but not out of this world. Give yourself a treat and stay here. Everything is first class. They even have a turn down service where they leave some chocolates ans slippers.
The Garden Cafe is their restaurant, it is expensive but the food is mouth watering, highly recommend. Their sister hotel, Little America, across the street, has a cafe that really is a cafe with cheaper food.

Tooele and its home county offer a glimpse into the Old West. Before the railroad and the telegraph, the Pony Express delivered mail from the East. Today, stone memorials mark their route and stations. In Grantsville, the Donner-Reed Museum features items from that group’s ill-fated stagecoach journey to the West. At the Bonneville Salt Flats, racecar drivers aim to set new land speed records.
