Hotel charge us for parking which was not mentioned and microwave was not provided without charge. Left a water bottle which I thought was complimented but they charge too much when we were leaving.

"Very Nice Hotel would've been 5 stars but for...."
Nice big room (if a little dark and dated) overlooking Marina, Beach and Pool. Nice big Balcony. Main issues were unfriendly staff on reception at Check-in. Really felt like they couldn't be bothered and weren't at all welcoming (apart from Ines who was lovely and very helpful). Also the restaurant was being refurbished and service was pretty chaotic not helped by the US's very starchy hierarchy (someone shows you to a table, gives you a menu, then the server eventually comes over, etc. etc.). Many times food came in dribs and drabs and often before the drinks!?!? Apart from Kristi and one or two other, the rest also felt like they were going through the motions and didn't care about the customers. One was nice but very dark and quite dated decor/furnishings. AC worked but was noisy when kicking on / off. Also room fridge was quite buzzy which didn't help sleep recovery after jet lag/time difference. If JB Inn could get some better staff, decorate the rooms and improve the AC eqpt and silent fridges this could easily be a 5 star review. We shall see.....

"Nice hotel close to the beach"
Love the beach activities, running path, bike rental was next door and the bike path. People watching was fun too. And sitting on the beach to watch the waves was most enjoyable. The only thing I didn't like that we didnt run into last time we stayed in that area was the homeless people. They are everywhere with there trash. I won't be back to that area because of it. I'm on vacation to relax, not think about the homeless situation.

"Surprise"
I arrived at the hotel late in the afternoon and went to check in at the front office. The office was nicely renovated and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I got into my room and I was very surprised that it was completely renovated with very nice decor, floor and higher end toiletries. They even had bathrobes which was totally unexpected at at this level hotel. My room included a free breakfast at the Denny's right next door. I would highly recommend this hotel.

"Hotel more fun for the kids!"
My overall experience was enjoyable, the rooms where clean/with a playful ambience, and comfy beds. Most of the staff were a nice/friendly, as one should expect. The first day (on. Monday) we were exhausted due to travel. I asked the the girl at reception if she could advise of a pizza place we could order food. She seemed irritated by my question, and I was told no deliveries allowed (even if I waited in the lobby?)-we're unfamiliar with the area, and hotels are supposed to be accommodating. I felt dismissed, and brushed off. My other complaints- Noisy due to traffic (old windows). This hotel is more for the kids-many children running around screaming (not the hotels fault) but relaxing by the small pool, or in the lounge area, is not doable during the day. No room service (we knew this) so, expect to go out often just to eat or pick up food. Overall, I might come back for a shorter stay then go elsewhere. It's an interesting area! Easy to get to LA-Downtown or head down Hwy 1- to beautiful Huntington beach etc. Santa Monica (Pier) is close- which is a fun place at night too!. For the $$, and lack of amenities... it's not worth it for a full stay.

"Convenient location"
The hotel is older, but it is very well cared for. The grounds are beautiful. A bit of oasis in a concrete jungle. Close to rent-a-car locations. We returned our rental car, walked back to the hotel, and had their shuttle take us to the airport.

Third Street Promenade is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Third Street Promenade, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Third Street Promenade hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
