"Would return"
Great location, staff, amenities, and continental breakfast. Room was way too hot and dry and couldn't seem to control it from the room thermostat. Only stayed one night so didn't bother front desk with it. Would next time.

"Nice hotel nears ski lifts"
We have stayed here quite a few times. The staff are very friendly, rooms are neat and clean, comes with breakfast and is a block and one half from the ski lifts in Telluride village.

"Nice condo close to gondola and town"
My daughter and I enjoyed the House Ice condos and its location. It was very close to restaurants, shopping and the gondola that takes you to The Village. The staff was friendly but the there is not front desk, but could usually get a staff member on the phone. Our room was comfortable with a huge bed in the master and lots of closet space. My daughter stayed in a small room off of the kitchen with a fold out couch. She said the bed wasn't that comfortable but those beds usually aren't. We only had one bathroom but not a real problem since there was only two of us. We had a nice view over looking the pond and it was very quiet. I would stay there again.

"Great hotel, no perfect but pretty good."
The hotel was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing. The cleaning service was not great and it was extra. Also, the trail leading to the hotel wasn't my favorite. The location was on the edge of town but still walking distance to all restaurants. The black tie ski location was extremely convenient and the staff were very professional.

"Good spot for families or groups"
Privately owned two bdrm condo was a great size and a comfortable place. Not new. Not fancy. A The unit itself needed some repairs to the shower enclosure that was a bit of a hassle. I would return to this property, perhaps not to this particular unit.

"Nice room at base of lift."
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a very nice stay. The room is nothing fancy, and as some have already mentioned, it has been converted from a multi-bedroom condo into a single room. The bed was firm, but comfortable enough for a good night's sleep, and the room had the basics expected from a cheap hotel such as microwave and microfridge, an assortment of dishes and silverware, and a coffeepot. There were not enough outlets in the room, but we made it work with the extra ones in the bathroom. The bathroom was clean and efficient and soap and shampoo/lotion was provided. The only downside was the walls are very thin so you do hear everything going on outside and in the next room, but the room provided a de-humidifier which helped mute the sounds while we slept. The hot tub was just a quick walk in barefeet. The hotel is a quick 5-10 minute walk into town or to the free Mountain Village Gondola, but we ate in town every night because the prices for dinner was much more reasonable than the Village. We enjoyed Valentine's Day dinner at the Appaloosa Cafe for an excellent steak - highly recommended! And the best part is the room was also a quick walk to the Coonskin chairlift and the lift ticket office at the base. Overall, for the price and what was provided, we had a very nice stay and we would be back.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
