"very central"
Although somewhat hard to find, this hotel is in a very central location. The room was spacious and clean. Basic toiletries were provided, along with a fruit and soft drinks. Night market close by and you can even have new shoes made for you on the spot a few doors from the hotel. There's also a free shuttle to the airport, which takes approx. 20 minutes.

"Good place to get out of the city, close 2 airport"
Nice little vacation away from city. Pretty far to get to by public transport but there is a complimentary shuttle service from Taoyuan High Speed Rail Station which is around 15 min. Hotel was able to receive a letter document for me and had it ready for me when I checked in. Breakfast buffet was decent, good selection of Asian and Western options. Overall, the hotel staff at reception, spa entrance and dining hall were pleasant. Overall, very nice and comfortable stay if you want to get away for the weekend or just want a nice relaxing room to end your trip to Taiwan. About another 15 min MTR ride to Taoyuan airport from THSR station. However, at the pool, lifeguards need more training or need to provide more attention to detail. I slipped coming out of one of the spa pools and absolutely no one came to help. This is ok for me as I was not injured, was able to get up right away, did not really require assistance and was likely my fault as I did not step on the provided rubber mat. All that aside, the lifeguard was literally less than 10 feet away from me and he didn't even bother to ask if I was ok or if I was injured. It was around 8 pm at night, it wasn't even busy. There was only one other family of 4 and another elderly couple at the spa with no one at the pool. I'm not asking for him to bring me in for a check up, but really just a simple "are you okay?" would have been a nice way to handle the situation.

"Comfortable bed, great value for overnight transit"
I needed a place to get ten hours of rest during a long overnight layover, and this hotel was perfect for that. The price is very reasonable, the taxi ride each direction short, and the bed very comfortable. My biggest hesitation was over the shared bathrooms, but now that I have stayed there I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to repeat the experience. The bathrooms are immaculately clean and well-maintained. The main bathroom is unisex and has two toilet stalls and three shower stalls (for perhaps thirty guests if all of the rooms were filled to capacity?), and there is an additional bathroom for women only which is also equipped for handicapped guests. This bathroom has one toilet and one shower and allows full privacy for a woman using it (along with a child, in my case). But I explored the unisex bathroom and would have felt comfortable using that bathroom as well. Packaged slippers are provided for the hall and bathroom, and shampoo and liquid soap are available in the showers. I would say the only drawback to the hotel is the potential of noise from the hallway, since the hotel rooms, as in most hotel, have soundproof walls but not soundproof doors. But while we stayed the hall was quiet the whole time, and disposable ear plugs are provided in the room. There are also a hair dryer; a small writing desk; a coat rack with hangers; and drinking water provided. We took taxis to maximize our layover time for sleep, but the HSR and MRT are both in close proximity.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
