Stayed in one of the standard studios and found it very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Location is excellent with an easy walk to the heart of Taos. Nice little kitchenette too. However, be aware that the beds in the studios are murphy beds that pull out of the wall. They are queen size and comfortable, but if that's not appealing to you, you might want to upgrade from the studio. Personally, I was happy with the room and would definitely stay here again. Would highly recommend.

This beautiful 1929 adobe motel is absolutely authentic for the time that it was built. The room was on a huge grassy courtyard. The hotel staff was extremely nice. and the breakfast was very good and ample The only way it failed to compare with much more expensive lodgings was that the bed could have been firmer. We love the place .

We loved the size of the room and the beautiful mountain view from our balcony. The room had a king size bed plus plenty of space for the sofa, coffee table and chair. Sitting on our own private balcony in the evening just made it all that much nicer. I highly recommend this hotel.

There is a much larger sister hotel and conference centre in Taos but don't do it. Choose this property and take a shuttle over for the hot tub, salt water pool and/or dinner but stay in this adorable quaint historic bed and breakfast (and a full breakfast IS included). This property was beyond my expectations. Quality, very clean, very unique!

I’m retired and have traveled everywhere but this is my favorite place to go for a few days and enjoy.
I’ve stayed here at least two dozen times over the years and look forward to my next trip to Red River already!

Perfect room/condo facility for our hiking headquarters. This facility is more like renting individual condo units than a room at a hotel. Our suite had everything we could want at a great off-peak price. Late October and early November is very quiet - only one business open in the area - Tim's Straydog Cantina, where we had two enjoyable casual dinners. Powderhorn's GM Thom was very accommodating and helpful.
