Although the rooms are old and outdated they are comfortable and quiet. Not as clean as I had hoped. Found dirt and hair on the bathroom floors. I was unable to get the patio door open to go out on the deck to enjoy the mountain views. I counted 28 steps from the parking spot down to the condo room. I an 64 years old and partially handicapped so it was difficult for me every time we left and returned to the condo. They should alert people of how many stairs are required I saw every unit had steps to climb up or climb down to. I feel climbing the steps were the only biggest issue or concern I had with this place.

It's right off of route 81, which is great! Hotel room was clean but bed was extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast was decent (except for the hair I found in my eggs). If you're looking just for a place to sleep, nothing more, than this is the place for you. I'd stay again because of the price and location.

If you need an inexpensive room for a night or two things this motel is fine. Not much more than a safe, clean and comfortable bed. But that was exactly what we needed. 3rd stay. All very acceptable. Will utilize in the future.

I really enjoy staying at bed and breakfasts. This was a really beautiful old home and it was very charming. Very welcoming and breakfast was outstanding. Lovely china settings and fabulous food (can you say homemade granola :)). They have a wonderful parrot who loves to come out and meet guests (and show off a few tricks). Great restaurants within 20 minute drive, great German restaurant within 5 minute drive. Short drive to Charlottesville and super hiking at Shenandoah National Park. Animal friendly and they even have a separate entrance/exit upstairs which is great for taking dogs in and out without disturbing the house.
