"Reasonable price for SF hotel"
Older hotel in decent condition. Room size was small but comfortable. Wireless service is not good due to hotel construction and the apparent lack of repeaters. There is a great diner across the street that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Neighborhood not great with homeless/panhandlers, but seemed ok during the daytime.

"Nice hotel. Great location. VERY loud!"
The construction work on the other side of our wall began at 6am sharp was HORRIBLE. The banging and sheet rock cut out caused terrible vibrations and unbearable noises. They were able to move us to a street facing, higher floor, which was actually worse!

"Hotel couldn't be located in a more perfect place."
The hotel staff was extremely professional and accommodating. The building itself is quaint and antique like with a updated and classy feel. There's just enough amenities for a leisurely stay, although you probably won't spend much time inside. I didn't use the outdoor pool, but I noticed other patrons enjoying themselves. It's surrounded by beautiful flowers, and colorful foliage. The sauna is for private use only; you're encouraged to make a reservation which I found extremely relaxing the last evening of my stay. There is a small gym on site with basic equipment to keep you consistent while traveling. There's a restaurant conveniently attached to the hotel as well. We didn't eat there but it seemed pretty busy. The BART is about 8mins walking distance from the hotel which was amazing for our night out in Oakland. This hotel is also nestled in between art galleries and theaters if you're interested in catching a show or glimpses of beautiful pieces of art. I took walks through the city each morning, landing at one of many eccentric coffee shops, or my favorite brand name store for shopping. Our rooms were small, but nicely set up. The queen beds were true to size although I wished for thicker bedding. The window in room opened to nothing and my friends windows were frosted out, but again we didn't spend much time inside. My favorite part of my room was the bathroom, it has multiple mirrors lol. I had a great experience overall and would recommend this place.

"Nice hotel and staff. Convenient location. "
We enjoyed our stay very much. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and had a fun feel to them. Hotel did seem like it was older and had a funny smell in the hallways. But that wasn't something that we minded. Rooms were a little small but we made it work. Loved the little vanity area for when I got ready.

"Great location friendly staff."
Very accomodating and friendly staff. Location is great. My bathroom was tiny, but I was made aware there are several types of rooms. Valet cost is insane. I could Uber around for 2 days for less than a night of valet there. Very walkable location. No restaurant onsite but they do have room service. Overall would go back for sure. Definitely has it's own vibe. Feels more personal stay than business.

Sunset District is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Sunset District, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Sunset District hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
