"A wonderful base for exploring the Kenai Peninsula"
I was a woman traveling alone and spent four nights at Summit Lake Lodge in one of their lakeside cabins, which was like a luxury hotel room. The breakfasts and dinners that I enjoyed at the lodge were excellent and I found it conveniently located for traveling south toward Coopers Landing and Kenai and onward, and for traveling east to Seward. Jane helped book several activities for me including sea kayaking from Seward and rafting on the Kenai river and I had already booked a day long Kenai Fiord Cruise from Seward. Coming back each evening to Summit Lake was very restful - I did not mind the drives each day to different locations for the scenery was inevitably spectacular and traffic not bad and the comfort of coming back to the luxurious quiet cabin with mergansers and loons swimming by just beyond my porch and snow capped green mountains across the lake, surpassed any inconvenience.

"Descent facility - excellent staff, accommodating "
People are nice, beds are good. New cleaning crew was joyful and excellent at work. Staff booked outdoor adventures for us and recommended fun affordable outdoor activities to do on our own. Gorgeous area with a lot to see and do, great for kids. Just make sure you avoid making the mistake we made of booking a "dry cabin". That imeans no running water. Staff moved us around a bit to accommodate which saved our vacation. Overall nice place across the street from the river.

"Beautiful Property!"
We were a family of 4 (two teens). The property and facilities are amazing. We had a wonderful time playing tennis, shooting hoops, practicing golf with the one hole and sand trap and boating (although it was an extremely small area to boat). Would have been nice to have more eggs at breakfast as it was buffet style and I was last and barely got any. The host was in a hurry to get back to "work" and said goodbye to all of us while we were eating and never asked how things were. I didn't get a chance to ask about more eggs. Perhaps things could have been different if Mrs was there but she was on vacation and left her husband to manage alone. Other than that things couldn't have been better. The room was very spacious and very comfortable.

Alpine Inn Motel

"Rustic motel in gorgeous countryside."
Alpine Inn is in the unique village of Cooper Landing, about halfway between Anchorage and Homer, AK. It's comfortable and well-equipped for light housekeeping. Our space included a separate room for the 2nd queen-sized bed. Very well planned, very clean, very friendly and efficient and knowledgeable staff. Not glamorous. Very satisfying for country living. Much fishing in this area.

Summit Lake is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Summit Lake, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Summit Lake hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
