"Easy access to JR station, restaurants and stores"
The hotel was very easy to get to; only a 5 minute walk from the JR Kinshicho line, which was very convenient with the JR Railpass. It is close to SkyTree and Asakusa. The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We traveled with two children (8 and 11 y.o.) and had four twin beds in our room, which worked out well and everyone got a good night's rest! We did not spend much time in the hotel; so I cannot comment on hotel food or breakfast buffet. There is a 7-11 across the street which was convenient for snacks and onigiris. While some people may have wanted to be closer to the heart of Tokyo, we really liked the location and would stay there again.

"Nice Hotel with a bigger room"
This was our second time in Tokyo and we wanted a bigger room than last time so that my wife, 2 kids and myself could be in the same room. This Hotel delivered with a comfortable room size for all of us together with all of our bags. Our room was on the 20th floor which gave us great views of nearby Tokyo central and the Sky Tree which is only a 20 minute walk away.

"Nice hotel for the price"
Everything you need is in this hotel. It does lack amenities such as a pool and a sitting area in the room, but really all you need is a private bathroom and a bed to sleep on. My family made a last minute decision to stay overnight in Toyko. This hotel made it easy to do this. The bathroom had everything we needed. It had toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, hairbrushes, hair ties, shaver, shaving lotion, qtips, bathrobes, slippers. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Also, it was minutes away from the sumo stadium. Would definitely recommend.

"A very nice mid level hotel in a great location"
This new hotel is steps away from exits from the subway station, Richmond Hotel Oshiage is very very easy to get to and ultimately away from during your stay in Tokyo. The Keisei Sky Access line stops at Skytree and spoke off from that is multiple subway lines to get where you need to go almost anywhere in Tokyo (the Z and A lines specifically). Beneath the hotel is a Life supermarket, which has two levels. One with chef prepared food and drinks. This will be a life saver as the prices are all reasonable and makes for great options for breakfast in your room or lunch later if you don't want to stop anywhere (that said there are lots and lots of reasonable food options in Tokyo). Across the street is the mall complex built to support Skytree. Inside the hotel is a Sizzler, we did not eat there. The room we stayed in was a standard deluxe and while it was a little more per night it also had tons of room. That was important to us as finding one room to accommodate four people is not a common option in Tokyo and those rooms disappear quick. There are smaller rooms better suited for couples or singles from what I saw. The room was appointed nicely. Beds were comfy, towels luxurious and everything was clean. Lots of toiletries too! Also the toilet was a fancy Japanese toilet that cleans your thoroughly.

"Fantastic hotel"
This is a great hotel. It is only a block from the subway station and easy to get to.The rooms are average-sized by Japanese standards but have everything you need. The best think about the hotel though is the staff who are incredibly friendly and helpful. It is owned and run by a really nice Japanese family. On a number of occasions they went out of their way to help me with planning various activities etc. Great Japanese hospitality. Thoroughly recommended.

Sumida is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Sumida, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Sumida hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
