Staff was friendly and helpful. Front side of hotel faced a busy street, but back side overlooked the river. Great view of the Smokies and easy access to downtown Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge. The hotel itself was older, but neat and clean. Parking was readily available.

Spent most of the time Iin the room and ordered in. Nice little mini vacation. The whirlpool was a nice perk to the room and even though it was cold we left the door open for the running river. We will be back. Thanks.

I was very pleased with the location of the hotel, and it had been updated, which was nice. However, the hotel seemed to be short staffed and no one serviced our room during the day. Breakfast was not quite up to Hampton Inn standards, but OK. it was a good va

Huge rooms, every amenity imaginable, very quiet and secluded, yet convenient to everything...what a find! Loved the 3-course breakfasts, and the dessert delivered to the room each evening was a lovely touch. This is an unusual experience and a genuine "find" in the area. We will make this our lodging from now on whenever we come to the Smokies.
Criticisms? Very little is less than perfect here. One could mention only that the hot water is of the "off/on" sort, with temperatures very difficult to modulate. I suspect the temp is set too high on the water heater, leading the hot water to overpower the cold. And the lack of elevators means that if your lodging is on the second floor, you will have to lug your belongings up the staircase to your room. Other than those minor things, Eight Gables is a dream destination. Stay there!

The staff was friendly, and the check-in/out process was fast and easy. We arrived late in the evening and received a courtesy call from the desk person, who was very polite and friendly. She waited for us to arrive before closing the office. Our room was quite large. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the heater kept us toasty warm. The location was very good also as we were across the street from the river and a block off the main strip. We found the water pressure to be excellent, and except for a 2-3 second span, it stayed hot throughout our showers (my niece's showers lasted about 20 minutes). I would stay here again without hesitation.

Jeanie- Property manager, was extremely and friendly !! I had called late at night to confirm my booking and she had stayed after closing time just to make sure everything was ready for us upon arrival !!
Myself and my wife had stayed at the "burnin' love " cabin. We loved it!! The facility was very clean and secluded ! I most definitely would recommend this cabin to friends and family and will return again myself ! For the price, it's one of the nicest surprises I have had in a while .. I have stayed in many "4 star hotels " as a veteran traveler and I will say my experience here was better than many of those! If your looking for privacy and seclusion and don't mind woods and fresh air, this is a must -see!!
