Stayed here with my husband from Friday to Monday on a short break and, from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel most welcome. Everyone, from the reception team to the cleaners, was so friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself is what you'd expect from a place in this price range. It's in a great location and has onsite parking (although there is a charge of £5 per day). Our room was quiet and well appointed with a very comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and a nice bathroom.
Breakfast was buffet style but freshly prepared and using good quality ingredients.
The only thing that let the hotel down was the number of cigarette ends on the ground around the smoking area, which guests pass through on their way in from the car park. I know there had been a function on the night before but you would expect a place of this standard to have had it swept before breakfast.
On the whole though, we had a very enjoyable stay, made all the nicer by the lovely staff.

Check-in/check-out process was a little on the slow side and there was dust behind the radiators but aside this this hotel is super great and I would most certainly recommend it for its comfort, room size and what makes it top of the list for me is the location and minimal parking cost for your entire stay. Would love to come back :)

Beautiful old hotel set on gorgeous lush green park land where you can walk, cycle or relax taking in the view as well as a lovely pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. The restaurant was very good in the evening too and children are happily accommodated. The only reason I don't give this hotel 5 out of 5 is due to my scrambled eggs for breakfast being rather tasteless and under seasoned and the breakfast tables being too cramped despite being in the stunning Library.

It was a really lovely stay overall as we were situated right next to the pool and had a room overlooking the rose garden. Although the view from the room was not the best as it was ground level and no roses at this time of year! This didn't spoil the stay though as there is plenty to do such as the gym, swimming and sauna and steam room. Would have loved to book a spa treatment but all was fully booked being as it was half term - hotel could look to add extra therapists during busy holiday periods? Mattress was slightly uncomfortable but not complaining as there is a lot of thought and good service given by the staff. Breakfast was excellent the first day lots of replenishments done throughout but the second day was a bit of a wait for the baked beans lol!

This is in a lovely position with lovely facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and next time vow to use the swimming pool. It is close enough to Shakespeare country and also the Cotswolds so we had a good time travelling around too.

Fabulous experience, the staff were very attentive and polite.
Breakfast buffet was excellent.
The room was ideal, very clean and well kept.
Leisure facilities were great although I thought I'd die in the sauna at one point.
Overall a fantastic weekend get away.

William Shakespeare gets top billing in this Tudor town; the Bard's early and family life are on display at Shakespeare's Birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage. Visitors should take the opportunity to attend a performance of the Royal Shakespeare Company at its recently revitalized flagship theatre. Make sure to view the River Avon, the town's other star attraction.
