Great location, just yards from main area and lots of shops and restaurants close to it. No car park on site but it really wasn't an issue as there are two on the road alongside it and for 24 hours it's £10 or £14 depending on which you use. Lovely breakfast menu and restaurant in the hotel and staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back to this hotel again having stayed somewhere else the previous two times i've been to Stratford Upon Avon . Very close by restaurant I can recommend is 33 The Scullery. It's only small so you need to book but food is excellent.

We had a lovely, relaxing weekend at the Alveston Manor. Breakfast was good and our room was clean and super comfy. There was some confusion though - in the Hotel Guide Book available in the room it said that mojitos was a house speciality, however, when we asked for a mojito at the bar, the bar man said they don't do any cocktails at all. We also booked afternoon tea before we left on Sunday, however, the menu options were different to those presented to us by the manager when we booked, e.g. inconsistent menus at the restaurant and the bar. We decided to go for the champagne afternoon tea but then we met with confused bar staff who couldn't find how to input it into the till and were telling us they have not been trained and not sure what the afternoon tea experience involves. The staff are nice but there is definitely a lack of consistency and communication and staff should be fully trained.

We stayed during Easter break, but despite that, the staff was always available and pleasant. The wait for breakfast at the hotel was too long, so had to go somewhere else. The location is great. It is within walking distance of of all of the main attractions except Warwick Castle. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel many times while taking in a few plays at the RSC. This time it was just an overnight stay as we were only there for two plays but things were just as convenient as ever. The rooms are rather small as you would expect in traditional hotel but were clean and comfortable. Parking was limit but we got a space at a cost of £10 - it is a constant complaint of mine that hotels charge you for parking which is something I think they should provide as part of the service. The TV did not work that well but the wifi was excellent, high speed and free. The hotel is centrally situated and an easy walk from all attractions and dozens of good eating places.

Enjoyed my stay but I thought the access to the pool and spa was very convoluted and not what you'd expect for the type of Hotel and star rating. Breakfast was nice and the room I stayed in (3) was perfect for my work needs and relaxation.

William Shakespeare gets top billing in this Tudor town; the Bard's early and family life are on display at Shakespeare's Birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage. Visitors should take the opportunity to attend a performance of the Royal Shakespeare Company at its recently revitalized flagship theatre. Make sure to view the River Avon, the town's other star attraction.
