The staff is friendly. And food was pretty decent.
But the hotel is old. There was a elevator one rooms away and all night I swear it sounded like it was coming through the ceiling. Now in all fairness the staff when asking about type of room we wanted did say it was a little loud. but wow. Also the only other thing was there wasn't much water pressure or hot water not sure why but it wasnt very hot and seemed to be having hard time getting water. other then that fun time and Starbucks is one block away.

We returned from a day of shopping to find out we had been locked out of our room. Tired and wanting to rest, we made our way back to the main lobby. Tho the staff was apologetic, the comment was made that we were not the only one. When asked for a dinner comp, the man tried to give us a 2 for one dinner buffet. Which already came with our room. I told him No. we wanted 2 comps for dinner. as we were being inconvenienced.. when we checked out they tried to charge us for the dinners. RUDE!

Sparks, Reno’s next-door neighbor, was founded in 1905 after the railroad built facilities here. Where Reno is tall, Sparks is low slung, with Victorian Square at its heart. This plaza has casinos, shops, a visitors’ center, and it hosts a farmers’ market. The Sparks Heritage Museum chronicles the city’s locomotive roots. Nearby, the Sparks Marina Park offers a 1-billion-gallon recreational lake.
