The hotel bathroom felt very clean, the hotel room was clean snd had everything I needed. The bed mattress was comfortable. The staff was really friendly. The breakfast has a lot to choose from, unless you're very health conscious. Biscuits and gravy, waffles off the press- not bad for confinement all breakfast. Staff was friendly and worked fast paced and competently. Hooray!

My wife and I have visited Santa Fe numerous times, and on most of those stays, we chose the El Rey. It is conveniently located along a major business route, Cerrillos Road and close to the heart of the city. It was founded in 1936. It drips with local charm. It has excellent wi-fi, an indoor hot tub, a pool, etc. Its pods of rooms and cabins ramble over a large site, forming a sort of plaza, decorated in northern New Mexico fashion. Instead of a meager breakfast on site, one receives for each member of the party a discount from an excellent breakfast in a restaurant abutting the property. The people at the front desk are knowledgeable. One young man directed us to an excellent Mexican restaurant known more to locals than to tourists. The El Rey Inn is a bargain when one takes into consideration the unique atmosphere and the excellent staff.

"Excellent value hotel. It was a 1940's style Gem"
Ab fab and great comfort. Beds were wonderful as was the Sudha at the front desk. I had guests from Ireland and they were thrilled with the atmosphere with both the Motel and Santa Fe in general ! The area is VERY expensive and to find budget accommodation of such caliber was a Godsend. We could walk to the Pantry for breakfast and this provided a morning constitutional for us. Of course, we'll be back!!!!!!!!!

South of downtown, historic buildings give way to residential neighborhoods and modern construction. A network of highways and an interstate connect this area with the cultural amenities of the old city. Southern Santa Fe includes the Santa Fe Municipal Airport and Santa Fe Place shopping center.
