This is a great place to stay. It is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and central to the sights such as the Cathedral and shops. The staff are superb; everyone remembers my name and are really friendly. It really makes you feel at home. They are also extremely helpful.
My only concerns are the lack of lift and key-cards that are always problematic. I would also suggest that the flowers at reception are changed more regularly as sometimes they are dead or dying and this is not fitting for such a nice place.

Absolutely loved the hotel - the hotel is set in mature woodland so it almost feels like staying in a cabin in the woods. The staff are incredibly capable and professional. The restaurant serves the most accomplished food if a little expensive (certainly more expensive than comparable food from a London restaurant). Overall, I was thoroughly pleased with the hotel. Next time, I would book a Superior or Kingsize Suite as the standard Double was very tired. The bathroom could have done with a refit and a freshening up of the decor in general is needed but these are relatively small issues as the hotel overall is truly lovely and we're hoping to return soon.

We found our stay at this hotel very relaxing. Pool facilities were very good and staff on the whole were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again. The only niggle was that there were 3 weddings at the hotel during our 3 night stay, and with limited seating outside it was impossible to find somewhere to sit in the afternoon/evening without feeling as though we were gate crashing.

The hotel has a lot of character and history associated to it. It is located in a small village like setting surrounded by locally owned and operated stores and many quaint restaurants all within a 5 minute walking distance.
The staff were exceptional and the breakfast was excellent.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is no air conditioning but the evening breeze kept the room cool in summer.
The wi-fi worked well in the bar/lounge and in the outside courtyard but not very well in the upper level.
We would stay there again.
This is a great place to stay for one or two nights.

Unforutunately I didnt arrive at the hotel in time to sample the spa or the restaurant, which was a bummer. I arrived at 21:15 the exact time admission ended. Was able to eat at in The Lounge though and food was hot but small proportions for cost.
However over all i had a good nights sleep and the staff where very welcoming and helpful.

Set on a broad inlet, Southampton is the largest city in southern England and cruise capital of Northern Europe. Some of the world’s largest liners are based here and many more visit regularly. The centre is modern but retains several historic buildings, two excellent art galleries, two theatres, plus good eating, drinking and shopping. Ocean Village leisure complex at the marina features a new museum of aviation.
