This is a great holiday hotel close to Skagen, which is a beautiful touristy town. It's easy to spend time in the hotel if you have children, with a (cold!) swimming pool, sauna, mini golf, football table etc. It feels very safe. We had a car to get into town. You can hire bikes for adults at the hotel but there are no bikes for kids. Recommend it.

Very nicely decorated and comfortable room in the annex.
Nice breakfast in dining room.
Enjoyed the spa with heated swimming pool.
Only two issues - we ate in the brasserie and the tables were so close to each other you had to move them to get people in and out and it felt like you were eating with people on either side. Maybe this was because the main dining room was closed.
Other issue which caused great concern to my Danish partner was that the Dannebrog flag touched the ground when it was being taken down at sunset ......being a Brit I wasn't that worried but apparently this is a national crime to Danes !!

Our room was premium delux and was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was smashing. Plenty and varied. The setting was excellent for access to all Skagen's attractions. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Everyone asked why go to Denmark, but there is plenty to see and the Skagen Strand is an excellent location for Skagen and north Jutland. The facilities were extensive and underused. The restaurant is very good. Take advantage of the bakery delivery option. The only downside - the weather is like England.

Situated right next to the excellent North Sea Oceanarium, this is a good value motel. Very friendly staff, and a good danish-style breakfast. Guest's kitchen if you want to fix your own meals, as there's no restaurant. There's a hotel over the road (five minutes walk) with good restaurant for an evening meal, and the centre of town is less than thirty minutes walk away, a Netto and a Spar store are within a mile. There's no reception staff on the desk after four in the afternoon, instead there's a self-service check-in machine that'll issue your key card. I walked on to the other side of town (a couple of miles), where theres a good rocky/ sandy beach, a big white lighthouse, and an interesting set of trenches and bunkers from the forties to explore. Great views all round, though beware the constant 'breeze' off the sea.

Surrounded by water on three sides, Skagen is perched on Denmark's northernmost tip. Here, distinctive yellow cottages with red-roof tiles dot the charming town. Just a short walk from the town center is Grenen, where two parts of the North Sea converge. Nearby, Den Tilsandende Kirke, or the Sand-buried Church, appears and disappears with the shifting dunes.
