This is a nice family run hotel just off the main streets of sintra in a beautiful setting. The staff were friendly and helpful and we received a welcome drink upon arrival. Our room was large, clean, well presented and quiet. There was no door between the bedroom and the bath and toilet area but there was a curtain (that may have just been our room). Breakfast was included and was very nice. There is ample free parking. The hotel is situated a little back from the main streets so it may mean a bit of walking or driving but it's really not too far and we walked to dinner etc in about 10 minutes.
All in all this was a really enjoyable stay. It's family run so the facilities aren't the same as a big hotel chain but it's definitely worth a visit.

After our flight back to the UK was cancelled we had a day to spare so we thought we would spend a day in Sintra. We had a few minutes to get somewhere organised and chose this hotel as it was central and seemed good value. We arrived near midnight but the staff were excellent. They looked after us (we needed 3 rooms) and ensured that we were comfortable. The hotel was comfortable, breakfast was good and the staff could not do enough to make sure we were looked after. They organised a taxi back to the airport and the location was good if you want to explore Sintra. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel.

"Well managed and beautiful hoel in a lovely town"
We were most impressed at the beautiful surroundings in Chalet Saudade, along with the very professional, attentive and kind management by the staff. Sintra is a great place to visit and a great location as a base for visiting the surrounding region (including Lisbon).

Very nice hotel, very clean, nice staff, good location. Good breakfast, and enjoyed welcome drinks and pastries. The draw back: size of room too small and shower water pressure too weak. And got double charged for the room by Expedia and the hotel. Hoping it will be reversed.

It's hard to be more centrally located in Sintra than the Tivoli hotel. You leave the hotel and you're in the main square. There you have the Palacio Nacional of Sintra, Bus stations, restaurants, bars, shops and more. It wasn't easy to reach as the streets are very narrow and the navigation system took us through some restricted access roads. Parking wasn't easy to find. Also be aware that there is a Tivoli Palacio hotel, which we reached by mistake the first time.
The hotel is very nice, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the lush woods and spectacular mountain valleys of Sintra have been a royal retreat since medieval times, popularised by 19th-century romantic writers. Sintra National Palace, with its magnificent collection of exotic tiles, dominates the town. The atmospheric ruins of the Castle of the Moors lie three kilometres southwest and the Disney-like pseudo-medieval Pena National Palace is four kilometres to the south.
