"Nice Hotel"
Good room huge and bathroom. Hotel and staff very helpful but they struggle due to lack of staff. Food good and all the interior is nice. Does need updating. Room though was cold and was unable to adjust heat. Also so was the hot water both bath, basin and shower it would only get teped and in fact felt cold to touch and wash in.

"4 day trip "
It was a quick trip for my friend and I. Having 2 bedrooms was great for privacy. They could've been a bit better kept and cleaner but overall liveable. The hotel itself was in a great location, close to the restaurants and pubs. There was plenty for us to do over the weekend

"Surprisingly good location detracts"
From initial perception this hotel groups on us. Located close to The Bullring market thee was a strong aroma of fish ( we arrived at end of day) and the location does not have any views of note - unless you count a building site and Travelodge! The apartment though is spacious -again the entrance hall is dark but that is because all doors auto close (something we found a pain!) Lounge is nice - could do with a feature wallpaper to lift it - kitchen surprisingly spacious, clean and well equipped. Bedroom OK -again a but of colour to relieve the white decor. Bathroom tired and needs refreshing OK but needing attention. When we enter out your close to a great range of restaurants and shops. Overall the facility grew on us! Not luxury but good value.

"Hands down my favourite urban hotel "
Can't beat the location for such a good price - right in the centre of the city with a 24hr store around the corner, opposite the cinema, and at Christmas it's ideal with the huge German market on the doorstep. Fantastic staff, massive bathtub and king size beds. If you're in Birmingham to enjoy the city it's the only place to stay and the best end to a night out. Will definitely keep returning.

"Fantastic Location Next To The City"
The hotel foyer is bright and cheerful and the check in is quick and efficient. Once onto your hotel room floor the atmosphere changes to being a little dull and dark. The rooms are becoming a little worn with chipped surfaces and poor amounts of power sockets in the room (you need some beside the bed). The room is an excellent size and bright with large windows. The television in the room is tiny for the size of the area it's covering. The view out of the room is great across the city. At times it can be a little noisy with the traffic but it does quieten down through the night. For my taste the bed is a little soft and you tend to roll together. The bathroom has a shower over the bath which works well. Breakfast has an excellent selection and there are items which can be ordered and cooked for you. The dining room has been well furnished in it's time but it also requires an update. The arms of the chairs are worn and stained and I loved the wine cooler installation. It's time for a little investment in the hotel to bring it up to scratch for the future. It's not a bad place to stay by any means just a little worn. The employees are excellent.

"Cheap enough"
Scoured the booking sites for cheapest deal and this one came up. Not my usual place so gave it a try. Close enough to the station but on the 'wrong' side really. Warm and clean though. Everything is small and old - rooms; corridors; lift!

Shopping District is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Shopping District, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Shopping District hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
