The staff at the Van Buren are helpful and pleasant. This was our first visit here and they took the time to tell us about the hotel and the surrounding area.
If traveling with young children, do NOT miss the Dutch Creek Farm. Our kids (8 & 5) had a blast feeding and petting animals they've never encountered before. Also make sure you make time for a buggy ride. It's a fun way to see the town and get to know one of the locals. Look for Sam Yoder and his horse Jerry.
The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom had lots of space as well.
We were on a road trip so doing laundry was a must. The dryer didn't work well and we had to keep pumping in quarters to get our clothes dry.
Also, one of our 'clean' bath towels had a red smear on it (source unknown), which I unfortunately didn't notice until after using it. Some parts of the bath tub showed some wear stains.

My father, sister and I take a 3 day vacation each summer and we decided to stay in Shipshewanna this year. Your hotel was so nice. The room was excellent and your breakfast was very selective. If we go back to Shipshewanna, we sill definitely stay at your hotel again.

My family used this hotel as our central meeting place for our mini vacation. Check in was easy and quick. We had requested adjoining rooms and we got them. The rooms were clean and looked like they had been recently renovated. The meeting room/check in area was clean and well managed and the food looked delicious. I would recommend this hotel.
