This cottage worked well for a family trip where we each wanted to be together but each with our own bed. We ended up using the living room more than the kitchen. Could have stayed longer to take advantage of the hiking trails. Had a first class breakfast in the cafe in the Commons Building.
Note: It was hard to figure out where to check in. Turns out the reception desk is in the Commons Building.

We loved our stay. They welcomed our dogs graciously. The room came with a fridge, hair dryer and Keurig brewer, no freezer or microwave. Not all water view rooms have a balcony. I would have rated 5 stars except the beds were hard as a rock. I like a firm mattress but these were like sleeping on concrete. So many upgrades and spa like touches, too bad the most important part of a hotel room was neglected.

From the moment we entered the hotel, I was captivated---a friendly and REAL front desk person who had been with the property for more than a decade, and who had a genuine interest in helping us find the room that best suited our needs. When we opened the door to the very first room (a queen on the first floor of the main building), there was no need to go further.
The first thing you see is the view---through a huge picture window and sliding glass doors. Then you see the inviting spa in the room, steps from the bed, and the fireplace. The bathroom with a full shower was adjacent. The wall near the bed was painted the most beautiful hue of very light grey blue purple, linking to the color of the water outside. The room was spotless, with not-overpowering but ornate furniture---I usually dislike ornate but it worked perfectly here, because the rest of the room was free of visual clutter.
We had a most delightful time and plan to return ourselves as well as tell friends about the most wonderful setting for a romantic weekend.

A small town on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula with the majestic Olympic Mountains and Olympic National Park as a backdrop, Sequim’s biggest claim to fame is its annual lavender festival. The area nearby is also home to about 30 “U-Pick” lavender farms. Golf, bicycling, and kayaking are other popular activities.
