"Unforgettable Stay in Gotemba"
My wife and myself were greeted warmly by the staff upon arrival. As we were too early for checking in (check in time @ 3pm), we were chauffered by the hotel car (booking required and operated from. 10am to 6pm) to the Gotemba Premium Outlet. Upon check-in in the evening, we were guided by the courteous staff who brought us to the room. The room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. The beds were sufficiently comfortable for a good night sleep. The breakfast served at the restaurant (included in our stay) was very well presented and tasty. We had tried both Japanese and western breakfast. We were happy with the stay and would recommend even family with children to stay here.

"Average budget hotel closed to JR Gotemba station"
Hotel condition and facility are average, breakfast at the buffet line was good, wide selection of food, restaurant staffs were friendly, and attentive. I fortunately could see the clear Mt. Fuji from room window.

"Hotel with hot spring near to agora station"
Very good. My only concern was the state of the private baths in the evening as they did not seem as clean as I would have liked. Otherwise, staff were excellent. I would recommend not going for half board as there are good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Dinner was good but expensive. At least check the difference between B&B and half board. This is a quiet hotel so if you want to party it is not for you. Having said that, it is a good place to relax and chill out. Good for couples although public baths are single sex.

"Nice hotel stay"
Booked here because supposedly it has a decent view for Mt. Fuji but it was cloudy during our stay so too bad we didn't get to see it. Facilities seem to be a little dated. Not too much an issue though but the futons are too thin, personally, so it wasn't comfortable for my back problems. Dinner was ok but breakfast was definitely better (we got the halfboard). Location is near the Ubako station but I wish the open hours were a little longer. We have to schedule our day so that we get to the gondola before 5pm.

"Great accommodation while in Hakone"
Hakone was a highlight of our holiday in Japan! Part of this was because of the excellent service we received at the Resorpia. Our expectations were exceeded! We had dinner in the hotel the two nights we stayed there and before they took our order, they asked if we had any food allergies. I mentioned that I had an allergy to corn which is a very common ingredient in Asian cooking. They took painstaking effort to ensure that there were no corn products - of which I sincerely appreciated. The next evening when we booked our dinner, they confirmed they would prepare a corn-free meal for me. I didn't have to say a word. The meals were fabulous - albeit pricey. The hotel was spotlessly clean and although our room was not luxurious, it was certainly adequate. The only thing that was a bit odd was the bathroom. Every time I stepped into it, I felt like I was on a cruise ship. It was that small and prefabricated like on a ship. It did the trick though and had one of those fancy high tech toilets so who am I to complain! The location was very convenient to local transportation and all of the top tourist sites. I would return in a heartbeat.

"Relaxing Japanese experience"
My husband and I stayed here to experience Hakone and the mountains. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the Gora train station. We had a room with an outdoor private onsen, which we loved - that was so relaxing, we wish we had more time to use it. The room is traditional Japanese where you set up your own futon mat on the tatami floor. The bedding was comfortable. The English spoken at the hotel was minimal, but we were able to get by, although we were not able to get a dinner recommendation. The lobby is definitely dated looking, but the hotel felt clean overall. We did breakfast, which we did not love - it was a good size meal for around 1200 yen/person, but there were too many items we did not like (whole fish, rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables).

"Lovely place. love the private bath"
Their food menu are soso. But there will definitely be some highlight on one of a few dishes. Like their beef! Mostly are fresh vegetables! So if u like vegetables their food is the way to go. I wouldnt go here for food but more for their stay and ambience. Private bath in suite room was pretty!

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Sengokuhara hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
