The hotel was located in a great area! Super close to everything in el Centro de San Miguel de Allende. Staff was nice and held our luggage and even let us check in early. The room was average nothing fancy standard room. This hotel does not have AC, nor room service, nor complimentary breakfast, nor common areas/amenities for guest to enjoy. So that was kind of the downside to things, but there is a bar located inside and a roof top restaurant both convenient on rainy days.

This is the first time visiting Selena hotel and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was spacious and had a comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend this hotel since it’s right next to many points of interest in San Miguel de Allende. I would like to mention that Janette in reception was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and easy to communicate with.

August 2025: Perfection. The hotel room was beautiful and spacious. The view was awesome. The location in San Miguel was perfect!!! The women who work there are amazing. I will definitely be coming back.

Jose was excellent, other than that, they double book my room and they expected me to return from an outing and get my stuff out. they bothered me with 7 phone calls and I thought it was an emergency but just wanted me to move. the noise from the bars is ridiculous.

I'm glad I chose this hotel. The people there were SO NICE. They went out of their way to help you. And luckily the people at the front desk also spoke English. The room was nice and cool. (It was warm outside - 73° - in July, but maybe it's my jeans.) The double room is a nice size, with a very high ceiling - heat rises. The bed is great. If you need a hairdryer, ask at the desk ahead of time. And, of course, i used the wifi. For you young ones, the weekend is a hsppening time. The locstion is perfect- across from the tallest building, so you can't get too lost. The breakfast is copious. If you need a hair dryer, ask at the front desk ahead of time. The property is very conveniently located and with in minutes of the cathedral and plaza. The staff was very friendly. The rooftop has a great view of the cathedral and the city.

The hotel is a great location and has nice rooftop bar Selina. They put us in an interior room close to the bar, #006. It smelled moldy / musty. There was no ac and was rather warm during the night since the only window opened to the hallway. Recommend if you can request a better room than what we had.

This property is a hot mess, but the staff shares in the joke and tries their very best to help. Also, the location can't be beat. However, the hotel is broken, in a charming way, but still broken. I can't recommend it.

Great location. Terrible smell & front desk staff

The front desk staff seems absolutely miserable and annoyed if you ask for the bathroom key or a 2nd room key. The room was fantastic and the location is excellent. However the hot water takes 6-15 minutes to get hot and all of our attempts to cover the shower drain due to horrible smells were unsuccessful. And again, the front desk staff is really terrible. I hate even having to write that! We also had to flush our toilet 15+ times to clear it so we just went up to the rooftop bar bathrooms to go. Those toilets seem to work fine and we were not putting paper in the toilets.
