This hotel was beautiful and everything was pleasant but a man was allowed to have his dog jump in the pool while my kids were in there . I thought that was disgusting and when I told the staff , they brushed it off and the man still stayed poolside with the dog barking and sitting on the lawn chairs that were for hotel guests . Other than that I sis Enjoy my stay

I stayed at Hotel Rumbao for two nights before moving to a more budget-friendly hotel in Puerta de Tierra. My daughters (ages 20 and 18) and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rumbao. The hotel's biggest strength is its prime location, right across from the cruise ship docks and within the Old San Juan district. We loved being able to explore Old San Juan on foot and return to the hotel to rest whenever needed. The area felt very safe. There’s a Walgreens conveniently located right next to the hotel, and the post office is just across the street. Our room was compfortabel and clean, though the floor felt a bit sticky, likely due to the high humidity in the area. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. My daughters enjoyed the rooftop pool. Before booking, I debated whether to stay at Hotel Rumbao, mainly due to its higher price compared to other options that include amenities like breakfast or parking. Parking is $26 per night for self-parking at the garage across the street. If you plan to self-park, I recommend dropping off your luggage at the hotel first; the baggage porters are very helpful and make the process smooth. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.
