"Centrally located"
The room itself was ok. Clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast was dismal. The stay was a series of unfortunate events. First night: no hot water, elevator broke, power out most of the night; and LOTS of noise (assumed repair people). Second night: It was better; however, housekeeping never serviced our room during the day.

"Late checkin"
We arrived at 3 am, I called them in advance to let them know of our late late check in. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious, but go early to avoid the crowd. You can even make your own waffles :) The only negative is that it's so close to the airport, so we heard and felt when planes were landing and taking off, luckily it's a small airport so it didn't bother me too much, still got my rest, the breakfast made up for the noise.

"Very close to airport"
You can't expect too much for $90 for a hotel just one mile from SJ Airport. But the hotel was great -- it was quiet, I checked in an out very quickly, the receptionist was friendly and efficient, and the room was clean and functional. The carpet had stains and the TV was from the 1980's, but who cares about that when you just want a cheap place to sleep near the airport.

Larkspur Landing Sunnyvale - An All-Suite Hotel

"Great for Overnight or Extended Stay"
We enjoyed our stay and the location close to the 101 Freeway and Silicon Valley. This seems to be a "middle-aged" hotel that has been nicely renovated and is kept very, very clean. The staff was friendly and responsive, and the continental breakfast was as expected. We especially liked the kitchenette, ice cold refrigerator and ice maker. Although we were only there for two nights (we were attending an event that required food prep), we could tell that a single person who needed a place for a week would do just fine in the hotel. Our standard queen room was too small for two people for more than a couple of nights, though.

Vagabond Inn San Jose Airport

"Perfectly adequate"
The hotel was close to the airport and reasonably priced and included breakfast. All of which were my biggest concerns. However I didn't realize 1. It didn't have a shuttle to the airport. 2. It had outside room access. Because I was traveling with 3 small children by myself I would not have chosen to stay here if I had known those two things. The building was in good repair and the front desk was helpful, offering to call a cab for me in the morning. The room was clean and we slept fine. There is a Denny's in the same parking lot so we had easy access to food for dinner which was really nice because we didn't have our own transportation after my father dropped us off. (He lives in Sacramento and had to leave to get back home at a decent hour). If my husband had been able to come with us I would have felt completely at ease staying here. And would do so again. But I would not if I was by myself. Especially with kids in tow.

San Jose is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in San Jose, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your San Jose hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
