"Much more comfortable than a European hotel"
I can't say enough good things about this place! These are apartments, not hotel rooms, so they're roomier and more comfortable than a typical European sardine can. The front desk personnel is helpful and nice to have, but mainly you feel like you're staying in a home. Very clean and pretty, and we had an AMAZING view from our balcony. It was actually sad to leave this room!

"Not the best area of Florence "
Reception and breakfast staff make this hotel. The hotel rooms and corridors are looking a little tired and the area is not one of the best places to stay while in Florence.

"Wonderful Bed & Breakfast"
Wonderful bed and breakfast close to the heart of Florence. Dontella and her daughter are wonderful hosts, offering a beautiful breakfast, take the time to explain options to make sure you have the most enjoyable experience and stay. Is about a 15mins walk to reach the central. Is worth the walk to enjoy some relaxation and ease of travel. You will enjoy the experience.

"Florence like a Medici"
The AdAstra suites B&B is the perfect place to stay Florence, one gets to enjoy one of the most beautiful and peaceful gardens you will ever see or enjoy while in a hotel. We stayed in one the 2 garden rooms and the experience will be unforgettable. The room d├ęcor shows the great attention to detail the hotel owners put into the property. The hotel personnel was ultra friendly and the daily breakfast was good.

"Palatial experience for a decent price!"
The rooms and the hotel were exactly how the pictures on expedia look like. There was no misleading information or impressions. The hotel gives you a good experience of staying in old palatial style building with high ceiling rooms. Our room was very spacious and neatly decorated with modern amenities mixed with rustic decor. I also liked the patio area where one could sit and enjoy the view peaceful while sipping on their wine or coffee; although it was too cold to linger outside the time of the year I was there. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers. I also loved the fact that it was not very far from Piazzale Michelangelo, where we enjoyed an awesome sunset soon after checking into the hotel. There are many options to eat just outside the hotel. The only con is its distance from the railway station; although there's a direct bus that leaves 2 mins from the hotel. It takes about 20 mins of bus ride to get from the hotel to the station.

"Great hotel with Arno view"
We loved this hotel (I found it through a B&B site but they don't serve breakfast). The hostesses were both extremely helpful with concierge services. We could ask them anything and they knew the answer or looked it up quickly.

"Very Italian, in a quiet location."
Across from the Boboli, a big plus. Very interesting to walk the gardens and see the museums and the Piazza. There are 3 flights of stairs up to the Hotel, but the staff will carry your luggage up. I didn't find it too difficult. Good exercise. The staff was helpful, the breakfast was good. All in all, I would go back for the price, very reasonable. Nice walking in the area. Close enough to walk to good restaurants and even the Ponte Vecchio. Saw an opera one night, which we loved (the one at St. Marks' Church) Good Restaurant nearby: The Angolino. I would go back.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your San Frediano hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
