We enjoyed our stay once we were relocated to a larger room, as the first one was more of a business suite for one person. The bell men and those who garage the cars were excellent.

"Beautiful piece of history."
The hotel was a beautiful piece of history. The old Alamo bank turned into a hotel offered an impressive lobby and brass elevators. The hotel did have direct access to the river walk but was only one block from a very convenient Riverwalk access and boat tour boarding location. The hot breakfast offered should please everyone with a great variety. The evening horderves was very impressive. After walking all day, we were very tired and ate the horderves as our meal instead of going back out to dinner. We have stayed at both Drury hotels along the San Antonio Riverwalk and both are exceptional.

"One of the best hotels I have stayed in!!!!"
For my first time in San Antonio, staying at the Menger Hotel was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked into the front lobby I knew it was going to be a great night. The staff were spot on, and did not leave out any details. I even received recommendations on activities to do during my stay, as well as prompt service when I required something that wasn't included in the room. The room was very clean, the beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on, and the outside noise was very minimal! I will definitely be back to San Antonio and the Menger will always be my top choice! Will be recommending this hotel to everyone : )

"Beautiful hotel close to the riverwalk."
The room was very clean and comfortable. The view to the pool was nice and we had a pleasant breakfast the next morning. The distance to the riverwalk and Aztec theater is what sold me on this hotel. Definitely recommend.

    Explore San Antonio

Visitor-friendly San Antonio provides a glimpse into the past – and a place to party. City planners designed the downtown core with sightseers in mind. Here historic landmarks (ever heard of the Alamo?) sit a stone’s throw from the Riverwalk and its restaurant-bar-cafe bonanza.

Join the throngs who pilgrimage to the Alamo, a fortified mission where nearly 200 Texan rebels died fighting for independence from Mexico in 1836. The site is surprisingly small, and surrounded by kitschy amusements like Davy Crocket’s Wild Ride. Four more isolated missions can be found in San Antonio Missions National Historic Park.

Take a break along the Riverwalk, a recessed canal landscaped with upscale hotels, gardens and more eateries than imaginable. Stroll alongside or hop a river cruiser. Shoppers should check out the Mercado, a Mexican handicraft market hosting a couple of Tex-Mex cantinas. For a bit of culture, visit the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Institute of Texan Cultures and the King William Historic District. Sea World provides thrill rides and orca shows.
