we just needed a good night stay while on our journey and this is exactly what we got. Quiet location. Nice room a little on the small side but we were only there for one night. Very pleasant dining room with a good breakfast.

A new experience for us as we were travelling with our nearly 2 year old. Staff really friendly and helpful but give you all the space you need. They our proud of the hostel and enjoy sharing this pride. The main area is beautifully designed and an experience in itself to chill out and eat there. Unlimited access to quality tea and coffee helped the relaxing.
The room itself had everything you needed and has been designed simply but nicely. We had a family room which basically means 2 separate rooms with the shower room joining the rooms together. I really liked this.
The kitchen had everything you need to prepare your own meals. Breakfast was nice and offered quality bakery foods and granola, could however, be improved by offering some cereals as well to cater to a greater variety of different preferences.
The hostel is a 2 minute walk to the beach and there are plenty of shops to get everything you will need for your trip on your way.
Would come again if I am heading to Galway again.

Southwest from Galway City, Salthill brings visitors to Galway Bay, where they can watch the Volvo Ocean Race in early July. Leisureland provides indoor aquatic activities and a performance hall for concerts and exhibitions. Much of Salthill's activity takes place on its seaside promenade, The Prom, and many of the restaurants and businesses along the prom offer views over the bay.
