This is a "get what you pay for" hotel. It is nothing fancy, yet, that's not what I paid for. It does what it needs to do, gives you a good nights sleep at a modest price, in a convenient location. No, frills, but no complaints either. One note, the little coffee packets in the room are completely useless. It produces nothing more than hot, brown water. It's the same little pathetic excuse for a cup of coffee that you get at any low, to middle range hotel and I wish the hotel owners/managers would either provide us with a good cup of coffee, or just quit wasting their money on these little packets.

We had a good experience at Microtel. We would stay again. We did wish that there were restaurants closer to the airport hotels - confusing, really. We had driven such a long day that we just got Dominos to deliver, which was fine.

The hotel was unique and beautiful. Our room was really nice and had features that made you think you were not in a hotel room, like vaulted ceilings and a fireplace. The hotel is in a more industrial area, but worked for us because we came to enjoy our night at the hotel. The front runner is nearby so you could catch a train into the city.

We arrived after a 550 mile drive to a spotlessly clean, quiet, as requested, first floor room.
The spacious lobby has 2 computers and access to the nice indoor pool, spa and recreation room.
Amble breakfast with apples and oranges along with a waffle iron.

Pocket Guide: Salt Lake City Salt Lake City International Airport Hotels
A cluster of hotels and office parks sits west of the Salt Lake City International Airport, bordered by wide-open spaces that lead to the Great Salt Lake. There, the deer and the antelope play on Antelope Island State Park, situated on the largest of the lake’s 11 islands. At the airport’s entry, native straw and wildflowers carpet the Wingpointe Golf Course, considered one of Utah’s best links.
