Everything was good except room was too cramped for a king sized bed, and the shower needs too be upgraded. We could hardly turn in the room, couldn't use the computer, and the shower nozzle was very old and should be replaced. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff very friendly.

We arrived way before our check in time ( but when you have a baby, sometimes traveling can be unpredictable) The staff was great! Super nice and friendly and even let us check into a room early! The hotel was nice and quiet. If you ask the front counter they have delivery service in town that will deliver food to your room from a variety of different restaurants for only $5! That saved us the first night! the bed was a little to hard for my taste, but the over all experience was great! and the breakfast in the morning was yummy as well! Best bacon and waffles I've had in a while!!

The room was fine... i was disappointed with the staff; the receptionist wanted to add an additional $10 per room because of the two kids i had with me. I had to tell her it was not ok because when i reserved the room, i had told them i had two children with me.
I was also disappointed with the breakfast... only cheerios and a small packaged bear claw. I was expecting something a little better.

Stayed here for two nights in August, 2016. First of all, around the third week of August almost all hotels in Monterey and even Salinas are full with those attending the Monterey car week events. Those that aren't full jack up the room rates. The price of this hotel was high for the dates that I booked, but still reasonable given the time of year. The rooms have been freshened and the beds were actually quite comfortable. There is a very small bathroom but it was still OK. It was just very basic with no amenities, i.e. no hair dryer. The rooms were generally clean, as was the entire complex. A nice touch, and something I've never seen before in the area, was a security guard checking in all cars coming in at night. You have to be a registered guest to park inside the complex. Maybe that's to deter illicit activities, but I like the added touch of security. Had no issues with regard to check-in. I would recommend for a simple no frills place to stay.

Overall this was a nice place. The room was very nicely decorated and the staff was nice. For whatever reason the TV remote was missing from our room so the man got one from a neighboring room.
Surprisingly we had an electric power failure during the night and our C-PAP machines quit but the power came back after a short period of time. This was not a major problem for us.
