About 40 minutes from Calais - or a bit longer on the N roads - nice welcome and nice beer in the bar! (Not cheap though at 13 euros for two pints.) We had a clean, basic room and a huge bathroom as it was equipped for wheelchair use. Not far to the main square which is really nice - bars and restaurants.

Lovely hotel tucked away in a very quiet side street yet only a couple of minutes walk to shops, bars and restaurants. A perfect base for exploring the area and shopping, very pleasant staff and the most amazingly comfortable beds to sink into at the end of the day (superior room). Having been recommended to us, my husband & I have now stayed at Hotel Meurice in June 2016, December 2016, April 2017 and November 2017 and are already discussing a trip back in early 2018.

Booked a table for right. Hotel had a large party in. No problem with that BUT they could only offer us two choices as has run out of rest of menu. We complained and the hotel booked us s table at the red pepper restaurant over the road. Excellent menu and good there. Breakfast was good though. Need to rethink its catering for guests and parties. Should not run out of food

Set in marshland in the northern region of Pas-de-Calais, Saint Omer is a quiet town connected to the English Channel by a long canal. The town is centered around the main square, Place Foch. Dominated by the impressive town hall, the square hosts weekly food markets and an annual flower market in May. Other sites worth visiting include the medieval cathedral and the Sandelin Museum.
