"Nice hotel but check your receipts"
La Villa Duflot is a very pleasant hotel with comfortable rooms and patios. Until check out, our only issue with them was that they were difficult to find, however, with a GPS it was possible. They are not close to any of the beaches or things to do in Perpignan but it was still a quiet comfortable hotel. The real hitch came at check out time. Even though I had prepaid a deposit equivalent to the cost of our hotel stay at the time we booked through Expedia and received a receipt that said we would only be charged for any overage, La Villa Duflot insisted that we needed to pay them the full amount for the hotel room (which I had already paid) because the paperwork Expedia provided said that the hotel was to collect at the time of the stay. I contacted Expedia about it and the operator said that her paperwork said the same thing as the hotel's but that they would research it while I was waiting on the phone. Unfortunately I was traveling at the time and the call was dropped. Expedia never contacted me back about the matter so I called my credit card company to dispute it through them. Having to do this was not what I expected from either Expedia or La Villa Duflot.

"Charming little hotel"
Lovely little hotel that is but a stones throw from the market place and restaurants. We stayed in one of their superior rooms that are situated in an annex block. They are air-conditioned and decorated with typical french flair. The beds are good and the rooms are just large enough to be comfortable. Each of their annex rooms have either a balcony or a small patio area. There is free WiFi but it is on the slowish side and can only be used by one person in the room at any time. My advice is to use your own "mi-fi" for both speed and security. The breakfast selection is quite good and offers better value than what is on offer at the nearby cafes. The big negative about the hotel (and just about every other hotel in Collioure) is the parking. It's not their fault but if you do manage to park on one of the hotels 12 spaces, you quickly learn not to go out for the day !. Parking aside, this is a gem of a hotel that offers a lovely experience and is wonderfully quiet. Would happily recommend to anyone.

"Perpignan on a no-frills budget"
If you absolutely MUST go to Perpignan (and I would avoid it) this is a good place to stay. It is directly across the street from the train station and couldn't possibly be more convenient. The rooms are basic: bed, toilet, shower, and tiny kitchenette (equipped with basics). It's clean and in good repair. There is underground parking available, for a charge. The elevator(s) work. The a/c works. The reception staff is courteous and helpful. Breakfast is available, for a charge. There are vending machines in the lobby. Maid service costs extra. Changes of bed linens and towels cost extra. You are expected to wash your dishes (no soap supplied) and remove your trash, or there is a surcharge. There is a grocery store across the street in the station (it opens and closes early). There are restaurants and bars on the other side of the terminal. In summary, if you're on a budget and want just a place to sleep and wash up, this is a good, clean basic place.

"OK hotel. Not exceptional in any way."
2 night stop here in July 2016. Location is excellent. Close to the old quarter, and the cultural centre of the city. The hotel itself is fine. Clean, comfortable.....but as with most of France, you do get a drains smell form the shower room - even 5 floors up! We paid for breakfast both days, but wish we had not. Way overpriced for the quality offered and compared to local cafe prices.

"A good place to stay"
Beautifull View from the room, mostly quiet. SPA treatment wondefull. Didn't use the pools. Most of the time, the hotel is fully booked. Sometime, the restaurant is full too. You have to make a reservation before or wait 9 pm to eat. But the food is very good. About the showers in the bathroom, the water can turn from very hot to very cold every minute. So it's better to take a bath. No pay per view movie. No much channels interesting. Hight speed internet. No iron. Just a very small soap given. Staff would do everything they can to assist you. Very kind. For someone who project to stay some days in the area of Perpignan, the Flamants Roses is probably the best. If I woukd have to return to Canet Le Roussillon, I would definitively choose the Flamants Roses for the view.

"A Three-Star Stay at a Five-Star Hotel"
Honestly, this hotel is stunningly beautiful and perfectly charming. I'd definitely recommend it—as long as there's not a private dining party in the garden. Sadly, that happened on our visit. The entire afternoon, while the adults lingered over a long lunch, their noisy, unsupervised children--who weren't guests of the hotel--took over the small pool, making it incredibly unpleasant for hotel guests. Once in a while, the restaurant manager would tell the children to quiet down, but of course, without ongoing supervision, that didn't happen. I feel that the pool should be reserved for hotel guests; or, if not, then at least children using the pool should be supervised by their parents.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
