"Fabulous!"
One of th best hotels at which I've stayed in Europe. The staff was incredibly pleasant, accommodating and professional. We had no worries at all that once we arrived in Prague. I recommend the executive lounge option if possible, because it includes a few extra nice-to-have amenities that can make your trip that much more enjoyable.

"Excellent centrally-located hotel"
We stayed here for a second time recently. The hotel is as good as if not better than on our last visit some years ago. Large and spotlessly clean room with all facilities. Although the hotel is very close to Old Town Square and above a main (pedestrianised) street, the room was well insulated and very quiet. No fripperies in the hotel (saunas, beauty parlours etc), but staff were excellent and so was the breakfast. The hotel is small enough to be off-limits to the endless tourist groups visiting the city and is ideal for independent travellers looking for well-appointed accommodation in a central location.

"A superb stay"
The location of this hotel is just excellent; it is part of the Strahov Monastery complex and really in the thick of old Prague; the views from the hotel are breathtaking and, as soon as you are out of the door there is something special to see. Everything about the place lives up to this experience and I really cannot speak too highly of the staff, and the service generally.

"Beautiful view"
We were very happy with Old Town Square Hotel. The family room was huge and overlooked the square. We could see the beautifully decorated Christmas tree and bustle of the Christmas market. The double Windows kept the noise down.

"Grand Hotel Praha"
The Hotel is charming, the staff attentive, the included breakfast very good, and the location across from the Astronomical clock great.. We were assigned a large room that had been recently renovated. The room was in an adjacent building that was not as convenient as the other rooms in the "main hotel". We asked to see another room in the main building. They offered us one but it was very small, so we elected to remain in the larger room. Accessing the room involved walking up and down about 200 steps, and there was no elevator in that building. Interestingly and probably due to architectural preservation restrictions, you would go up and then down flights of steps more than once as you navigated your way to the room. We are in good health, so it was not a real issue. The rooms are nice, but I would not recommend these "satellite" rooms to someone with walking issues.

"Fab hotel next to the castle"
We went to celebrate a birthday and before we even arrived, the reception staff were really eager to help to make our stay extra special. We were upgraded to a larger room which looked out over the street - it was really comfy, the only issue was that it was right next to the lift so could be a little noisy, but this was only an issue in the morning really. Breakfasts were great - definitely get there earlier rather than later as it gets really busy and on occasion, there wasn't enough of some things, though that may be different when the hotel is busier. There is also a great chocolate cafe in the hotel - would definitely recommend a visit!

"Best location possible"
Walk off Charles bridge and you have arrived at this hotel. Absolutely perfect location. Only downfall was no lift and we missed the fireworks as we weren't aware it was a public holiday the afternoon we arrived. Would have been even more perfect if hotel staff had told us to expect fireworks that night

Royal Route is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Royal Route, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Royal Route hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
