This hotel is under renovation and although the staff is very helpful the management has no interest in helping incoming or staying guests understand what is happening, how to get into or out of the parking lots, to and from your floors, etc. There is no signage directing traffic where to park or how to enter the hotel from the parking area... Exit doors are just propped open to let paint dry. All could be far better managed with simple signs, and/or staff people assigned to help guests negotiate the temporary walkways, and so forth. Currently there is no restaurant but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.
The room was comfortable and the staff extremely helpful once you were in the hotel and registered. Hooray for their patience... The management should be fired.

This place was a gem. It was a full blown 1 bedroom apartment. Well appointed and extremely comfortable. It was a great value. The location was excellent, very near the Pentagon City Metro station and surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops and major shopping. I highly recommend it and will use it again on my next trip.

"Not a hotel. Beware of additional cleaning fees."
This is not a hotel. It is an apartment/condominium. The building and it's location are great. There is maintenance and front desk staff. The building's staff is friendly and helpful; but, they do not work for whichever company you are paying to lease the room. There are a few management companies leasing units in the Gramercy.
Please note the fees. If you see a cleaning fee for $100, that rental is with the WORST management company at the Gramercy. My experience with this company - I waited 2.75hrs to have access to the room. After 12 hours traveling, no one needs this. The company blamed "bad weather". The bad weather happened days after the last renter left the unit. There was time to clean the unit. The excuse was crap and consistent according to many of the residents I met while waiting.
The property is good, but Expedia should severe its ties with this management company.

It was the best experience from the moment we walked in! We were greeted with the smell of white tea, and the hotel supervisor, whose name was Danielle, helped us as our reservation was incorrect. He took care of us and was so very helpful. Truly impressed by the whole stay. We had stayed the previous 3 nights at the Ritz Carlton but was by far more impressed with the Westin. It felt to inviting. Even the maintenance guy asked us how our stay was, and to let them know if we needed anything.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City during the Redskins vs Dallas weekend. There were hundreds of visitors but the lobby never felt crowded and the hotel staff was very responsive and quick.

The hotel is located in a great location convenient to restaurants, shopping and a metro station. The amenities were very good. The only issue I had was the hotel's business center was experiencing issues and I could not print documents I needed. However, the registration staff printed the documents for me.
