"Everything you need"
While the room was compact, it had everything you need and is easy walking distance to great restaurants and sights. Sounds in the hallway (voices, elevator 'ding') woke me up a couple of times, but overall the location was great, the room was comfortable and modern with a nice, roomy bathroom.

Excellent hotel except they charge $13 a day for WiFi. Even budget friendly hotels have free WiFi. This was a huge turn off to me.

"Babymoon Getaway"
The location of this hotel could not have been more perfect for what we needed, which was something close enough to food, shopping and sights (I'm less mobile than usual with this tiny human growing, so this is, and the previous reviews, are what sold me on booking the hotel in the first place!). Upon arrival, the luxury and comfort, in addition to the wonderful staff, were welcomed added bonuses. I've stayed in many hotels given that I have travelled a lot for business, and I am confident in saying that this hotel ranks in my top 2 for overall luxury and comfort. Premium amenities, spacious and modern rooms and flexible check-in/check-out times really helped make our stay that much more enjoyable. We were within comfortable walking distance to some great food (The Purple Pig is a MUST, as well as Garrett's Popcorn, because who doesn't love popcorn?!), great shopping (Michigan Ave is a great combination of retailers, from the Gap to Nordstroms to Louis Vuitton, and everything in between) and beautiful sights (Millennium Park & the Riverwalk are close by, and I definitely recommend the Architectural Boat tour to see the amazing buildings and learn the history behind the windy city). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Loop / Mag Mile, and I would love to stay here again the next time we're in Chicago!

"The Perfect Hotel!"
I've stayed in many hotels in the Chicago area, this one beats them all. Not only was it in a great location, but the staff was very friendly and upbeat. The price was the lowest in the city at my time of stay. Parking was a great value and easy to get to. The elevator in the parking garage takes you right into the hotel lobby which was great! I didn't have to lug all my crap down the streets of Chicago. The room had one of the best views of the city I've seen in a while. The Windows opened! Which was great, especially during the spring time. The room was clean and convenient. Great amenities and by far the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel. I wanted to take it home with me!

"Great hotel with nice rooms, good location."
Nice, clean hotel with big rooms and comfortable beds. In a great location, near everything. You can take 10 steps without hitting a good restaurant or bar. Staff was friendly. I had asked for a quite room away from the street and I got one. Thank you. I could see that staying on the street side (Illinois Ave) could be noisy as there is a rather large fire station across the street. If noise bothers you then makes sure to ask for rooms in back of hotel. Will stay there gain.

"Close to everything "
First of all, thanks to the best western staff for allowing me to check in early in the morning after taking a red eye flight from Los Angeles. The staff was friendly and seemed knowledgeable about Chicago. The room was okay, for me to just sleep in. I would recommend you ask for a microwave to heat your delicious left overs from Portillos which is a block away. Thanks for holding on to my luggage after checking out from the hotel to keep sight seeing

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your River North hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
