The hotel has an excellent location on the beach and close to town. For the price, we were very disappointed that the hotel does not have internet access, not even in the lobby. The beds are very small, not even queen size. Excellent bar and very good food. Friendly staff. Beautiful pool area.

It's not a luxury hotel, but for the price its everything that we wanted. It's clean, our room was really spacious, the staff was nice and it was in a secure area. Mostly it seemed like people staying here were in town for surfing. If you stay, definitely go to the bar next door for drinks and BBQ.
Be aware that you'll probably need a car to get to Rincon or the major beaches, and that the front office has pretty limited hours in terms of check in and check out.

I was pleasantly surprised at what a great place this was. Close to all the major beaches in RINCON, This unique Micro -resort has two great restaurants both at reasonable prices and great quality. At special request, the chef prepared me Crabmeat stuffed Avocado. Poolside I enjoyed several of the Pizzas from their Giant Stone Oven and one of the best mushroom bacon swiss burgers I have ever had. Since the upper restaurant has a satellite bar at a mid level terrace, it felt like there were 3 dining rooms... open throughout the day and evening.

We stayed there 7 days in mid-January 2016, during which there was unusually high surf nearly the whole time. The rooms are protected by a tide wall about six feet from the rooms, and it was quite noisy at night (the old louver type windows no-longer close in our room). High tide slaps the wall, while low tide provided about 10 feet of rocky and sandy beachfront. The location near downtown Rincon and to the Highway 2 corridor is very convenient, and there are nice beaches surrounding the peninsula to the north. While the appliances are dated, they do work sufficiently. Parking can be a challenge if you are the last to arrive, as it limited and available only along the access road that also carries a lot of speeding traffic in both directions on a 12 foot wide roadway.

The grounds of the hotel are great. The beach is the best out of the surrounding hotels and as a result there are guests from the other hotels coming over to sneak onto this beach. The beach bar is great and has a great staff ( other hotels can take hours to get a drink). The food is some of the best in Rincon. The chef is Culinary Inst. of Am trained and we were shocked with the quality of the food. Grab coffee at one of the shaded tables in the AM and go for a swim.
The only draw back is that some the rooms tend to be dark (to be honest, it was more of an issue for my girlfriend). The room we stayed in had a kitchenette which was on the outside part of the room so the sleeping area was closed in with out a window and only a door and metal louvered slats that need to be kept closed if the AC is on. Since we are on vacation we go out to eat so we would have rather had a more open room with a sliding door to a balcony for light and a view. Its not terrible but just be aware of this. I think the locals tend to do a lot more cooking so that may be why they keep it this way. Other than the dim room the place is nice and the room was clean. The surrounding hotels have good bars for a change of scenery but tend to be noisy. They are good to visit but its nice to walk back to the quite room that the Antonio offers.

Rincon was beautiful in late April, with warm days with a nice cool breeze, fewer people, great sunshine, great food, quiet and so pretty. The beaches are almost empty. One concern was the roughness of the ocean with a big rip tide (on both sides of the island). Terrific food at reasonable prices and a fun area to drive around the small Rincon area. Don't miss the lighthouse.

Rincon is famous for its beaches, which tend to be small, intimate, and varied in character. The first World Championships of surfing was held in Rincon in 1968, and the big waves of the northern beaches still attract surfers the world over. The calm waters of the southern beaches, by contrast, are ideal for snorkeling and diving. During the winter months, humpback whales swim offshore.
