"We didn't want to leave!!!"
The moment my friends and I stepped into our respective rooms, we immediately messaged each other saying that we didn't want to leave the room, ever! We loved everything about it, the luxurious bathtub with HD TV and English channels, the huge lounge chair where we could relax and enjoy our view of the mountains, the large room size. And as I was travelling with a toddler, I enquired about ordering porridge for my child's dinner as we checked in around 6+pm. The staff said they didn't have that on the menu but could prepare porridge for me and asked me what ingredients I wanted in it. They proceeded to deliver a large bowl of salmon and egg porridge shortly after my enquiry! And they didn't charge for me even though I wanted to settle the bill for it when I was checking out. The hotel is also within walking distance to Carrefour, or you could borrow the bicycles from the hotel to go for a grocery run. I am definitely coming back to this hotel when we visit Nantou County again.

"Cosy Minsu with a walking distance to Misty Plaza"
First time in Cingjing and was looking for a minsu near Misty Plaza (where the food is). VillaRelax is located behind Cingjing Pri Sch, and one would have to pass through the school (shortcut) to the destination. If travelling by foot, I would recommend travelers with hand-carry baggage/ backpackers as luggage with wheels would be inconvenient (since there is a short distance walking on soil). Alternatively, if you rent a mini bus (i.e. OK Bus) which would send you to the minsu's lobby directly, luggage with wheels would not be too big a problem. It must also be noted that there is no lift in the minsu, and one would still need to hand carry their luggage up the stairs. Host: Minsu's boss is a very friendly & helpful lady. She is efficient in allocating my room and helping me call for a cab when i need to travel to Cingjing Evergreen Grassland. Room: The room is spacious and neat. Cleanliness can be improved due to the presence of insects. There is a glass ceiling near the window which is great for star gazing as well as sun rise. The shower is hot enough even though cold air could seep in through the toilet's exhaust opening. It gets quite chilly at night, and true that temperature difference between day and night can be big.

"Great hotel with phenomenal service!"
We loved this quaint hotel that had a great view of the lake. The location of the hotel is only a couple of minutes drive to the other busy locations where the shops and restaurants are located. We stayed in the lakeview suite which was a great size with a nice bathroom that has a shower and soaker tub with a view of the lake. The deck also has a great view of the lake. The complimentary breakfast was nice with daily eastern and western varieties. Hands down the best part of this hotel's experience was the customer service. We really have to commend both Amber and Benson for going above and beyond to help us non-Taiwanese speaking guests to get around the area along with their shuttle service. Definitely highly recommend this hotel if you plan on visiting Sun Moon Lake.

Spacious rooms, cushy beds and superb bath toiletries. Filling breakfast spread. Family friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Ren-ai is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Ren-ai, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Ren-ai hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
