The hotel has a good location close to Queens University and many restaurants, which is nice. It also has a pretty comprehensive breakfast with many different options. The hotel staff are also friendly.
The room amenities are lacking, however. No bar soap, no lotion, no conditioner etc. The shower has a 2 in 1 shampoo/body wash attached to the wall, while the sink has a squeeze bottle of Caress attached to the wall. There aren't any washcloths, and you need to request an iron and ironing board. There is not a safe, a closed closet space, or any drawers. For a 3-star hotel, I certainly would have expected a bit more.

We could only squeeze in two nights here and unfortunately it wasn't enough time in the city. We will know better next time and stay for longer. The Gregory House was perfect for those days, the room was very spacious and clean (we were in room 12) and had a king bed with one twin, the bathroom was clean and we had a street view. The Ulster Fry breakfast was amazing every morning, and kept us going until late afternoon. I would highly recommend staying at the The Gregory House and we can't wait to get back!

"Nice people, great location, clean, good breakfast"
We picked a B&B to stay in after travelling for 3 weeks, staying in mixture of hotel and self catering accomodation. After research on Trip Advisor, we chose Harpers, with a rating of 9 from plenty of people. As I have stated, the people, location and cleanliness of the room could not be faulted. BUT the missing link was the room ! It was small and inadequate, 2 suitcases, no storage, a less than appropriate bathroom, with a plastic curtain, no storage of any kind for toiletries and hardly any for clothes.
Maybe I read too much into the comments and didn't check the inclusions in the room, it's a long way from a 9.

Pocket Guide: Belfast Queens College District Hotels
This district is centered around the lovely campus of Queens University, the largest university in Northern Ireland. The expansive Belfast Botanical Gardens is adjacent, popular with locals and tourists alike. Some of the city’s best bars and restaurants can be found on the “Golden Mile,” the stretch of Great Victoria Street between the university and City Hall.
