We loved this motel. Attached to it is a wonderful restaurant with a riverside (huge lounge) with live entertainment every night and entrance to the motel. Also go out the back door and you are in a gigantic riverside park where you can walk yourself and/ or a pet, ride a bike or jog for a long way. This place is awesome. I recommend this hotel to all. Did I mention, if you get the waterfront views you will be thrilled. I have sunset photos that are terrific.

We stayed here for one night before traveling on to Ft. Myers. The hotel sits a little apart from a shopping plaza and restaurants. That gives it a nice secluded quiet feel. We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and condition of the room. For the money it was a great value. We were checked in quickly and efficiently even though we arrived an hour before check in time. The room wasn't spacious but if was perfect for our stay. All we needed was a bed to sleep in and a shower in the morning. The only suggestion I have is bring a pillow. The pillows are not great unless you enjoy flat pillows. Other than that the room was great and I would stay again if we were in the area.

Built in 1957, this little six room motel shows its age right up front. No surprises , you can tell when you drive up. Rooms small, bathroom tiny, no pool. The water front across the street is not beach . But it served our need to be walking distance from family. With a fold out sofa bed, we fit the five of us on enough bedding and it has a full kitchenette complete with plates and silverware.

It was a little different than I thought. Large room, more like a small condo. More like a weekly/weekend rental. No maid service. Empty your own trash, etc. That kind of room. Showing its age. Very loud condensate pump on AC. Scared the wife. Read other reviews... they are correct about local things to do, etc.

24 miles northwest of Fort Myers, Punta Gorda's location along Charlotte Harbor provides scenic walks along the water. Murals adorn the historical structures in downtown and statues commemorate the Native Americans which inhabited the region as well as Juan Ponce de Leon. Visitors with their own boat can launch it from the Laishley Park Municipal Marina.
