Everything was as expected for a 3* hotel. No complaints but there wasn't anything to shout about either. I would stay here again. The location is its best feature for central Preston and, knowing the area, that's why I booked this hotal.

Little things stopped a higher score:
Hotel Staff - staff at check in weren't welcoming which got things off on the wrong foot.
Room - was fine for a stop over but wasn't executive/spacious as described when booking.

Great food, updated rooms and comfy beds. The dinner and breakfasts were gourmet quality and the staff were all friendly and polite. It was a delightful stay. But the best part was the location in the Forest of Bowland and Ribble River Valley. The countryside is some of England's most beautiful.

Once a thriving mill town, Preston has felt the pinch of de-industrialization like much of the northeast. The city is peppered with beautiful old buildings including the Harris Museum and St John's Minster. The River Ribble runs through the south of the city, where the old docks are undergoing regeneration. A little further up the Ribble is Brockholes: a nature reserve with bird-watching hides.
