This is a great place to stay. It is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and central to the sights such as the Cathedral and shops. The staff are superb; everyone remembers my name and are really friendly. It really makes you feel at home. They are also extremely helpful.
My only concerns are the lack of lift and key-cards that are always problematic. I would also suggest that the flowers at reception are changed more regularly as sometimes they are dead or dying and this is not fitting for such a nice place.

We found our stay at this hotel very relaxing. Pool facilities were very good and staff on the whole were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again. The only niggle was that there were 3 weddings at the hotel during our 3 night stay, and with limited seating outside it was impossible to find somewhere to sit in the afternoon/evening without feeling as though we were gate crashing.

This hotel was a cross between centres parks and a hotel. Staff were nice but facilities were tired , bathroom door looked like it had been punched as it had a whole in one side and shower had a rusty leaking lead that was screwed to the wall with electrical cable clips. lots of weddings while we were there so it was very lively but not to much noise in the evening. Great place to stop if you are taking kids to the zoo or at a wedding there.

Absolutely beautiful. The hotel rooms were very clean and modern and the hotel owners have made sure to put that little extra in each of the rooms. Breakfast had a good choice and the pub downstairs in very country like.

This hotel had a very practical location and we used it as our base to visit the city and surrounding region including Salisbury, Stonehenge and Winchester.
The room was adequate for a family of 3 and although we tried the breakfast on the first day, we felt it was overpriced and so opted for options in town.
The hotel has lovely leisure facilities but our trip was quite busy so we didn't make full use of them.

Been here before, and will go back again.
Good points: helpful staff, excellent shower (I love plenty of very hot water)
Bad points: the bed in this room wasn't anywhere as comfortable as the previous room
Another bad point (hopefully transitory) are the roadworks on the A27 ... noises on into the evening, and the weather warm, but didn't want to open windows ... bit of a Catch 22 :-(
Would be useful: a small fridge in the room

Home to the Royal Navy, Portsmouth is most famous for its Historic Dockyard. Visitors can clamber aboard Nelson’s flagship the HMS Victory, view the Mary Rose (Henry VIII’s flagship), and enjoy other nautically themed experiences. Adjacent, Gunwharf Quays buzzes with shops, bars, restaurants and nightspots. These are clustered around the 170-metre-high Spinnaker Tower, visible for miles around and offering great views from its summit.
